EXPLORING THE OLD BAZAAR IN SKOPJE (Largest market in the Balkans)

The Old Bazaar in Skopje is one of the biggest and oldest markets in the whole of the Balkan region. We spent a day exploring it and trying lots of delicious Balkan food!

The largest bazaar in the balkans is Istanbul with Skopje being 2nd...and that info was from a local, sorry

Turkey isn’t considered a Balkan country because such a small part of it lies on the Balkan peninsular. We went to every Balkan country and the largest bazaar is in Skopje. All facts depend on how you interpret the data, I’m afraid.

Our host (a Skopje local) told us the bazaar is the largest. Just because one local tells you something, doesn’t mean they’re right or are interpreting the facts in a way that experts would agree with. We get told stuff by random people all the time, so we fact check using reputable sources.
