There are many things to see in macedonia. Better to come in spring or summer. You can visit Ohrid city of unesco and the near city of struga. Than bitola near to ohrid , city of consuls . There is near mavrovo very nice nature and the national park. Krusevo a small town, the highest in the balkans. Very nice and picturesque. And do paragliding there. Skopje the capital to visit all the city center, than mountain vodno to the Biggest cross in europe, and then to canyon matka and do kayak and visit the deepest cave in europe under water. You can visit also Kokino the 4th in NASA megalithic observatory and near kokino there is Kuklitsi that are stone dolls very nice to see, maybe created by a vulkan in very past years. And see the little town of kratovo near to them. Kratovo name from word kraters of vulkan because in very old times there was vulkan. Those are the most important things to do.

The cheese is not like a standart cheese u get in Europe. We call it bieno sirenje ( bieno means beaten and sirneje means cheese) and than its left in a salt rein for a long time where it ages :) its very popular witj ajvar. But i prfer to eat it with white cow chese

Wow, I really enjoy these videos. I am from Skopje, but I moved to the U. A. E. about 7 years ago. I visited Macedonia 3 times a year, then 2 times, and when I moved to Canada which is much farther away, we only went once in 2019. Lol ok few things: when u drink Rakija u always need some salad like the shopska plus some meat, it goes well or it will put u down fast. When u eat ajvar the best way is with cheese and bread. Combine tavce gravce with bread and take the salad right after that. And yes Rakija cures everythin 😁

When u visit Macedonia again u should visit the city Berovo, has the best food for the price considering its 2x cheaper than Skopje, and its as healthy as Skopje and even more Traditional awesome food u will find also the city Berovo is known for the Berovo Dam its a beautiful place to visit to stay at cuz there is a resort there

IF you are still in Skopje, you can visit Debar Malo area , is around 1.2 / 1.3 km from the main square. There are some of the best traditional restaurants where you will enjoy a good atmosphere, great meat and meal, and before the main meal a few yellow ( Rakija ) with Shopska salat. :)) My choice would be restaurants Skopski Merak, DM, Chardak or Spajz. Аnd do not listen the Bulgarians, they are not with all these days.. : )

The "silly idea" is actually the right way to eat Ajvar. You put Ajvar on top of the bread and spread tiny pieces of cheese all over it. Gotta love it! btw Ajvar is not really healthy lol
