I was young when I saw the St. Louis one. I was completely wowed and told myself someday I would travel to work for her. Life happened. Now I am too old to visit so I am very grateful that you did this. My advice to people is never put off your dreams.

I'll be honest I wasn't going to watch the wax museum video Even though I'm sure I know who the man that sculpted these 1950s he was world famous he was on what's My line 1959+- But I'm here for the history challenge you said you didn't know who some of the people were and they should put name tags so I must take that challenge 🫵

First went to MT’s as a child of 10 in 1974. An experience that I have never forgotten. Henry VIII with his 6 wives, historical figures galore, memorable Hollywood movie stars, a full & impressive tableaux of Nelson & the famous sea battle complete with smoking cannon & the smell of gun powder. the chamber of horrors was incredible. The tableaux’s in the chamber of horrors blew my mind! A visit 2 years ago was extremely disappointing- all corridors, posters, sound effects & figures of celebrities I didn’t know. Also, the marvel figures were for a selected audience. Plus the chamber of horrors was closed & no warning given. The National Gallery is more exciting & it’s FREE!

Loved how they had the wax figures out so the public can take pictures. They need a wax figure of you walking with the visitors holding your gear and stuff just like you are filming a live...that would be so 2023. ❤

Thank you for the tour. It must be over 50 years since I went there and memory tells me it only featured standing figures back then. Times change. I believe the theatre where you couldn't film used to be the Planetarium and they've combined the two buildings.

Tussaud's featured public figures such as actors, politicians and the like when I visited in late 1982. After standing in line outside, the trip through didn't take long, and I was underwhelmed. There were no elaborate sets. There were no fictional characters, as I recall, and the figures were grouped according to their profession or activity. Some of the faces did not match their photos very well, and the complexions were all waxy-looking, so that leathery old politicians and Hollywood ingenues had the same skin texture. Today, I wonder how all the displays were shoe-horned into the space and how folks would escape if the place were on fire.

Hello AK. I have a question ❓⁉️. Whichof the both cities -LOndon , or New York is more interesting for you ? Like atmosphere, people , social system (if you made your research on tat too), laws ...?? One time asked an English lady ,she told me for her, New York is "boring" , compared to London. I never been to U.S.A. ,can not have some issues . I am curious. Thank you . At 73 , I don`t recognise most people, it`s all cheap graphics and screens. Good photo `ops for the children. The ones I would love to see were not good likenesses,ie- George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix, Hans Solo, but my old school mate was there in the `007' hall, Tim Dalton, and I think he had the best likeness of that group.
