As Jimi's crippling fear of birds is well known, and PRS amplifiers do not have any bird inlays on them or any images of birds, i believe this one is safe for Jimi.

I have a PRS two-channel "C" head. It's one of the first designs that Doug Sewell created at PRS. Basically it's two channels - low to mid gain, and mid to hi gain. 50 watts with an EL34 power section. It's a great rock amp. Put a dirt pedal in front of it and it transforms into a 3-channel amp. It's not for everyone but I like it.

Way cool Landon, really enjoyed this video. Been wanting to try one of these, as well as PRS’s J-MOD amp (John Mayer Signature, outrageously expensive but very cool), and I’ve also heard good things about their Sonzera combos.

It has a head to bedroom master volume. You can retain your tone and just use the master volume and play Bedroom levels. It will work. Thanks give it a try. 17:07

I’d like to think he’d still be playing Strats and he’d have a line of signature Orange amps. Shame he barely made it to the 70s.

The amp certainly has great tone possibilities. No doubt I think it would come in handy for some small gigs I am doing I am curious however about the build quality overall, I know this is a paid review, and I certainly hold no grudge against you for doing paid reviews I don’t play unless I get paid either, unless of course I am playing for myself. Otherwise guitarist need to make money where they can in this day and age I’ve been playing for 40 years, so I totally get it but anyway needing the smaller ramp I just want to know if this can hold up to being on the road man is it a solid build, I get the price point and that’s why I’m interested myself looking at the hand wired options and alternatives at 20 W increase the price by a minimum of $1000. I’d rather pay cash for it then charge it but I just need to know the truth about the bill quality it didn’t talk much about the shell The cloth or anything I just am curious thanks also the printed circuit board in there I know it’s a foreign made amplifier and they have had problems with that 20 W combo a couple years ago they put out son Zara and that’s probably spelled incorrectly. Because I don’t remember, but either way wanted to know I like the idea of having the headroom to bedroom volume but again I am just concerned about overall built quality even with the, small set of features that are offered. Thanks again. 16:24

@ditchgator1 Жыл бұрын
@@landonbailey 😎👍 Of course you played a stratocaster.. Just not with the suggested settings PRS suggested...at least not in this recording 😉👍 No big deal...just kinda expected it.😉 Did you get a chance to look inside? Concerning the layout, parts and durability, there have been amp techs in the past that gave reasons to believe corners have been cut and that the designs (in the past) didn't allow for servicing. In fact service would cost more than the amps price. So am I interested if things have improved 😁👍 😎✌👍❤🖖

I can't recall ever hearing Pual says this, but I have a feeling that he would not agree to putting a reduced power output mode in any amp that PRS puts out. Much for the same reason that you can't get a $300 PRS guitar, it's just not a part of the PRS brand or what they do.

These products are very strange- In almost every single example of a modern company’s release of a guitar hero’s gear, they invariably make an expensive ‘custom-ish’ guitar/amp/pedal whatever The ppl in the 50s, 60s, 70s etc were primarily using stock off the shelf stuff lol. The Pearl Jam dude’s signature strat is $2800 CAN 🤣 Clapton famously Frankensteined a strat together, EVH cobbled up his guitar from parts etc etc etc

I mean, it’s a Marshall with PRS logo. Yeah they probable did some stuff to get it into the different watts. And we know Hendrix never played a PRS. I am sure it’s built different but intended to copy the original. Shows lack of originality. PRS, create something original, something new…
@jjjddd231 Жыл бұрын
It's not in their DNA. Mr PRS has always imitated the classic gear from Gibson and Fender and now Marshall. Don't pay the PRS premium. Buy the best - buy the originals.

Kind of funny considering the original Marshalls were copies of the 59 Fender Bassman. The circuit for the 59 Bassman was basically taken from an RCA tube amp handbook. People have been working off other people's ideas since the beginning of guitar amplifiers
