You have a knack for getting locals to open up. I really enjoyed listening to that conversation. I loved your driving tunes and the marimba. It is great that were able to use local music!

That was a good one! I loved the fog! (S.F. resident here) Did you see the look in the donkeys eyes? He was like: "I got all this water on my back and you're gonna talk to this guy while I'm on a hill?"

Since San Fernando is not a well-known town, in Mexico or in the rest of the world, it would be a good idea to show it on the map. I have been to Tuxtla (I and my wife were going to teach English there at the university, many years ago but had never heard of San Fernando). I am sure you are planning to show us the spectacular Sumidero Canyon on the Grijalva River. It was one of the most impressive sights I had ever seen. I guess to see it well you would have to take a boat trip, which costs between 200 and 400 pesos and lasts 2 to 3 hours.

Good idea, but I usually check on my map app. I noticed that San Fernando is close to the Parque EcoturisticoTzimbac which I marked on my map after seeing someone else's video.

I have so many questions about this place.. First how were prices compared to Jalisco? food, room, and transportation??? It seems to have become much more settled in recent years according to the city official.. I remember quite a few years ago the different cultures were clashing and many were killed... The state of Chiapas was once declared very unsafe for tourists... Now it seems to have turned around and is welcoming. It didn't appear too many people wearing masks... also curious about the number of people in the streets, it just didn't seem very crowded?
@colibritravel59943 жыл бұрын
I think Chiapas is making a turn around but I'm really no expert in the matter. Homicide rates seem quite low compared to many other parts of Mexico. Chiapas is in "green light" semáforo verde which might explain why not as many people are wearing masks. In terms of costs it's been about the same or maybe even more expensive than other places but that could also just be what I've personally come across. Saludos!

The lady selling flowers is also capitalism.

according to how I understand capitalism, selling by alone isn't capitalism

@@colibritravel5994 Capitalism is trading capital. Flowers are capital. Travel videos are capital. 9 to 5 cubicle labor is capital.

@@diogenes9295 You edited your comment. Capitalism is the accumulation of private wealth via the exploitation of wage labor. If the lady selling flowers employs others to sell the flowers that she owns then that would be capitalism
@diogenes92953 жыл бұрын
@@colibritravel5994 That may be the communist definition. Communists want to take her flowers by force. What exactly is the difference between paying that lady for a flower, and hiring that lady to get you a flower?
@colibritravel59943 жыл бұрын
@@diogenes9295 it depends where the flower is picked. Something tells me however that we have differing views of capitalism and that's ok and that's where I'm going to leave it
