There’s one Fifthist SCP that’s deeply disturbing. It’s a incense wick that apparently holds the soul of a Fifthist Priest. Aside from all the anomalous stuff, he’s extremely disturbed, refusing to answer questions unless someone breathes in the smoke from burning some of the wick, specifically women. It’s implied that even though the smoke has no long term effects, the Fifthist Priest gets a sexual satisfaction from it, stating that he has a permanent connection to whoever inhales him.

I wish I could remember what the number or name was, but there was one about a Fifthist cabal who were creating necromantic talismans out of human spines and other unholy ingredients they could use to imperfectly mind-control people (implied that victims were killed in the process and became semi-aware zombies, because they often broke down into hysterical fits or went catatonic), and were using this in human trafficking and to dispose of people who saw things they shouldn't. The front for the cabal was some kind of sex cult, iirc. A pair of Foundation operatives were sent to investigate disappearances and the suspected Fifthist activity in the area, and they ended up captured, one was turned into a zombie and the other one was fed to their "god". If anyone can remember what this was, please tell me, I want to read it again.

Since current astrophysics' equations shows universe as going endlessly towards heatdeath and time continuing endlessly, days will forever be "like any other day" (just colder and colder). I feel like the intended meaning of the quote is that Neil Degrasse Tyson in infected and he somehow believes that March 5 is indeed the infinitely far heatdeath of the universe. The absurd contradiction is that after heatdeath, according to physics, time has no reason to stops and continues forever while nothing can't happen anymore, hence every day being like any other day: empty. His wording is in tune with his belief system, but the SCP still makes him identify March 5 as this "end" despites making no sense. (i love this quote, so innocent, yet so deep. Or maybe im overthinking... this is my headcanon anyway)

It didn't strike me the first time I heard it, but the "Alpha Centauri or bust" bus story is actually really reminiscent of Christopher McCandless's death -- especially the final journal entry.
