As an aside, can I just say how much I personally hate the term "Deific Entity"? It an entirely redundant term that has no extra meaning over Deity or even just God. It just screams of trying too hard to make something sound sciencey or academic and it's just kinda disappointing because I love the concepts being played with here. If you aren't gonna just use the term Deity, which would have been fully appropriate mind you, you could have gone with "Mythopoeic Entity" instead, drawing on then alternate meaning of Mythopeia used in some circles to describe how gods are shaped and born from human belief. This would dodge the god bullet this article seems so scared of *and* be a good description of the concept. But really, if you're talking about literal gods, just used the damn word. If you know gods exists you aren't gonna terminologically pussyfoot around talking about them. That'd be like going out your way to replace all instances of the word dog or Canis domesticus on the wiki with "Canine Biological Entity" it's just silly. I have very similar complaints about lots of the technobabble on the wiki. At least think about your terminology before you use it.

I don't see an apocalypse coming from this one, based on the reading (maybe it's in the article itself, I dunno). This seems more like it could actually lead to a paradigm shift that could potentially be in humanity's favor, assuming that the entity Blake fed himself to was actually associated with humanity itself, and not just with him specifically (which was a core unscientific assumption on his part when he decided to shove himself into the machine). The fact that the god was described as a "tumor" certainly sounds bad, but a tumor is after all just a maladaption of the natural growth process of organic flesh; they are what happens when flesh grows beyond control and loses homeostasis with the greater organism. In theory, medical technology may someday be capable of reversing that state, so that cancerous cells turn back into healthy ones; by the same token, perhaps this cancer-god could be re-engineered into a healthy one. I'm rooting for Promethium to work as intended, even if these things very rarely go according to plan; after all, we mostly hear about the ones that don't, because those are the ones that make interesting stories. "Happily ever after" is a boring outcome, if you aren't fortunate enough to actually live within it.

If there is a deity of deletion, the very association of the concept of erasing something connected to that deity would be removed so it could still kill it. A man hanged on a cross becomes just someone executed in a weird way...etc etc If there was a god of deletion or undeletion...those two concepts will stay what they are in simple terms not connected to that deity anymore...

Outside space/time. I like (not really) people who say if Jesus Christ came to earth they'd put him on trial. Aron Ra. He only knows maybe 40% of the Bible and doesn't understand the main chunk. How do you dispute that? Like he does it's the same debate put on repeat wherever he goes. It's so tiring but one should always see the other point of view or you're worthless. I totally respect him for debating Muslims. I was threatened for it...many times...yay...another rabbit hole!

There's a pretty large plot hole here in that there's a pretty obvious culprit in the Cosmic Starfish, and it just feels super irrational to me that these researchers wouldn't be clued in as to how the nature of the cosmic starfish would make it unmappable to the machine, but would necessarily draw its attention as the machine would necessarily be poking and prodding at its conceptual edges. I also, however, feel like this machine could be a cool nexus point for a crossover episode feature the Planet of Hands and the Starfish, allowing the two to relate to eachother. If a talented writer could see their way to creating it.

I really like the concept of the Fitfhist God being a god of Humanity, an eldritch nonsense god being one that encapsulates Humanness is quite interesting to me. I wonder if religions of the Fifhist God in this canon surround the "purity" of Humanity and undertake individual and systemic speciesm, such as creating a Thaumic calculator dedicated to creating one-off entirely unique slurs against the Faeries of The Forest, or creating a reverse gravitation field on Earth that pulls non-terrestial creatures whether good or bad into orbit as a countermeasure to the alien's presence on Earth or with Humans in general because "if a Human and an alien procreate, it'll end in a corrupted monster that'll get aliens replace all Humans, forever!", or the occult creation of a device that actively seeks out non-Human genes within descendants of Human and non-Human parents and try's to remove said genes from the person, retrying to filly remove any "aberrant" genomes from the subject, inevitably harming and possibly torturing the subject for being a hybrid of Human and sentient other. Being a god of Humanity surely means having worshippers that are Human-puritans or Human people who consider the concept of other sentient creatures coexisting with Humans such as A.I. robots or different fantastical or cosmic species as pure evil, the antithesis to them and their god. And this god is held up by the Foundation in this canon, so that just makes the Foundation more Humanist, whoops.

I saw the event involving the destruction of brain structures of certain dogmatic humans from a mile away, destroying an ability to comprehend certain concepts whether deific or mundane is a recipe for disaster. I only saw it as a closure of what we can understand and put to use, at least at a conceptual level. It felt to me like the most aggressive, violent, and organized possible form of book burning, if that makes any sense.

All right, on to Episode 3. The Foundation has had to fight gods a variety of ways in the past. In this case, they found a more centralized way of killing gods by hacking into the noosphere and cutting them off from their power source, aka humanity's worship. Considering the device's ability to interact with the noosphere, it's likely that it was created from the remains of SCP-6820 after getting the AU warning that they probably shouldn't make the lizard into a god. The device is separated into three parts: a scanner that scans symbols, or "totems"; a conceptual device that accelerates (or overworks) the concept of the god to where it's ejected from the noosphere, leaving it unable to be conceptualized or worshipped; and finally, a series of non-sapient semi-organic brain computers that projects into and receives thoughts from the noosphere for the Foundation to analyze (a sort of stand-in for worshippers, in a sense). The Foundation uses this process to neutralize gods by severing the reciprocal relationship between them and man, such as worship for gifts. These concepts associated with these gods were jettisoned from the noosphere, and with no connecting bridge, they are left to sit and wither away into nothing. They first began with an object that was already an SCP, 055. 055 is, in this case, the skull of an ancient humanoid species with antimemetic properties that were opposed to mankind; the Foundation pretty much overdid it with this one, as both the deity the _Invisibili_ worshipped and anything associated with it, primarily the _Invisibili_ themselves, were made to be impossible to understand. The Foundation now has 055 locked away, having no idea what it is since they can no longer comprehend it. They even succeeded in eliminating the Scarlet King's threat (though if 6747 is any indication, it's yet to be seen if it will remain that way, as I've covered recently), with the magical elements of his worshippers still remaining in spite of this. It was then that during the 182nd deity neutralization that when the biomechanical brains analyzed the results, they encountered something that essentially caused them to overload. It's possible that they emitted some sort of psychic field that the two technicians were exposed to, and in the process exposed to 3125, causing one of them to disappear (there's a possibility that the other survived as for whatever reason, they didn't have the time to comprehend it fully). Basically, as the Foundation intruded into the noosphere more and more, their actions drew the attention of something that somehow existed outside of the noosphere, drawing it towards the human world. As later stated, Blake, in desperation for something to trust in, opened his mind to the unknown, sending his mind into human thought space and then outside its borders, encountering 3125, having given itself the name of Va, later to be known as the Fifth King. As for Blake's actions, that begs the question: what god would consider _the human mind_ a symbol of itself? To draw a comparison, in SCP-5935, the universal question "Who are you?" implies it was once god, but in truth, rather than it being God, it was so at one with God that they couldn't be distinguished from one other, as they separated from God once life began and names were made; since all of the primordial questions disappeared when the universe answered them in some way, the last question was left at a standstill since the answer to it was subjective, so it sought to reabsorb all named beings into itself to create only one being with one name, thereby being able to answer itself. While most gods are gods of something, 3125, like the Question, is fundamentally different, albeit in its own way. Va is a god, but it is not a god OF ideas. It IS ideas, or rather, it is so at one with these ideas is that it cannot be separated from them. When the Foundation booted these ideas from the noosphere, they drifted until 3125 "absorbed" them into itself, becoming something else entirely. The most powerful of these ideas are: the constellation-like connections of points into a greater construct (the connections between associated concepts that the Foundation undid); rage and violence (The Scarlet King's defining traits); defeatism (or rather, submission); a fusion of the number five and antimemetics (created thanks to SCP-055 and the antimemetic properties of the _Invisibili)_; and transcendence (more specifically, inhumanity, defined by a coagulation of being removed from humankind in totality). Thanks to 055 and the Invisibili along with their goals being completely erased from human thought, 3125's concepts of antimemetics, the number five and the opposition to humanity became its core aspect. (It's likely that the sea-star icon was made as it was an animal that was seemingly the most compatible with its quinary systems) Much like THE DEER, Va is a god that exists regardless of whether or not mankind believes in it. And yet despite this, it knows that the main way to complete its objective of opposing mankind by erasing it is to spread its influence. Once the physiological damage conducted to certain people was made due to Blake's test (as this primordial force has a much more intricate connection with the human mind), it proceeded to fill the emptiness of the cultists left by the Foundation, infecting them with its central ideas - in other words, creating the Fifthists and the Fifth Church. (Side note: I got some inspiration of the chaotic nature of 3125, surprisingly, from Alfabusa's ITEHATTSD series, mainly from Magnus' explanation of the Warp - the reason the Warp is so corrosive and horrifying is that there are so many conflicting and contradicting ideas clashing around inside of it, degrading into, well, chaos; this concept seems to be reflected in 3125, as so many ideas are jumbling around and clashing inside of it) In SCP-5437, the surviving Foundation researcher implies that there is a difference between Fifthism and the Fifth Church. What Fifthism is, as he describes, is mindless violence, carnage and a distinct hatred of man. The Fifth Church is, in reality, a bunch of people who worship a force without really knowing or understanding what it is - they only know that it has power and that they can use it, and the only reason they worship their vision of it is because it has infected and altered them. Since those who study memetics have already been erased due to them eventually coming to the conclusion of 3125's existence (with the exception of the Antimemetics Division thanks to amnestics), Va needed another way of propagating itself a bit more slowly and discreetly. This is ultimately the purpose of the 2456 memetic parasite and its sixth iteration, 1425 ("Star Signals"): it alters the infected's way of thinking until they become something no longer human; since they are no longer human, they are able to view what is outside of human conception, namely 3125, leading to their erasure, as evidenced by the show host disappearing as it claimed her once she was able to see it. The Foundation, of course, has once again created another all-powerful eternal enemy to them, but in a unique way, they not only summoned this entity, but also changed it into something hostile and monstrous due to their ignorance of their efforts. Even with their god-making efforts, it likely won't have any success in truly fighting this alien and unimaginable threat. Look back onto my other ADMONITION analysis comments in 6820 and 6747. Thanks for reading!
