Very cool little excursion. I don't know how anyone camps in heat like that!!

My old stomping grounds! I was born and raised there and I have spent many many hours out in that desert around "Garlic." It is disgusting that everything is closed off now! Go back out there sometime in the fall or winter and enjoy the desert you can see during a more enjoyable time. Summer is way too hot!

Summer is way too hot. 🥵 Very cool little town. To be fair the closed roads were on the Wildlife refuge. I'm sure to protect the area and not disturb the wildlife who depend on it. Still a little frustrating though. 🤷♂️ It is a fun area to explore.

Nice video. Too bad all the trails are closed. Must be a Federal thing?

To be fair the trails that were closed to the public were on a wildlife refuge. Most likely to keep folks from destroying the area and the wildlife that depend on it.

Ever find any "hikers" that happened to be lost and looking for a ride?

Surprisingly no. As much time as I've spent in this area I figured I'd would have run across at least one by now.

This is some good content. I'm not sure what you mean by high gas prices all you have to do is buy an electric vehicle and don't be so silly! 😜😜😜😜. isn't that what our overlords try to tell us? haha. it's cool that even though you can't go too far you're still exploring your backyard and that's some nice country you got there. Here in Minnesota there's not much public land that allows this kind of adventure. I hate being thwarted by road closures like this whether it's government or private land restrictions. I had the same thing happened to me and some of the mountains in Utah that look like the road went through but it was restrictive private land.

I havent gone electric yet but I have added a new vehicle to the fleet that will ease the gas price burden. I'll introduce it a little later. I have unfortunately seen first hand how irresponsible some folks can be off-road. So I understand closing trails in wildlife refuges and national monuments is necessary to preserve the area and the wildlife who depend on the area. It's still a little frustrating though. 🤷♂️ I should pay closer attention to the road access maps i guess. Luckily there is an abundance of BLM land in and around Arizona to explore and adventure on. 🤠

@@TheIronRide yeah I get that some people can be quite irresponsible but instead of allowing the situation to be rectified by private groups most of these environmentalists just want to have it a reason to close more and more things off to the public 😍
@TheIronRide2 жыл бұрын
@@NigelNaughton it does seem that way some times.

Nice vid. It was disappointing to see you want to visit public lands, and the government closing off nearly every road. They treat it like it's their private property, but the area belongs to the citizens of America.

@tucobenedicto1780 thank you for joining us. I'll be honest I'm always a little torn when it comes to closed trails on public land. On one hand, I understand that nature needs time and opportunity to "repair" itself after some significant use by motor vehicles, and I do support temporary closure of trails to that end. Otherwise, the natural beauty I love about trail riding disappears from overuse. On the other hand, you're not wrong. Too much government overreach and regulation also prevents us from enjoying all nature has to offer. I suspect if the trail closures were fewer and further between, and we actually trusted that the BLM agency was, in fact working to better serve the public and not so much the government itself (or in recent, profit from attempting selling public lands as its doing in Utah), trail closures wouldn't bother us so much.
