Yes, Gallagher makes amazing instruments. We're always excited when they arrive.

I aspire the be able to flatpick like this but I fear that I inherited a genetic disability called uncoordination. 😂 This was a beautiful display of sound. Loved every second of it.

Thank you for watching! We'll keep them coming. We aim to get samples of as many guitars as possible of all price ranges and styles.

wow impressive, great playing and great guitars and tone.. all different.. what strings and gauge used on these and what flat picks and thickness used?

Cool comparison . Wow sounds like the ol J-50 blew the doors off everything else. Crazy to hear the relatively cheap Yam perform at least as good as all the boutiques. The Santa cruz D pre war sounded like it had a muffler on it... Maybe can find a Collings next time, their usually glorious.

Thank you for watching! The muffler sound could be my fault with mic placement. Yes, I can wait to record a Collings! I’ve only heard great things about those guitars.

Yamaha have (in my opinion) a very consistent build quality, you don't see that often 😊

These "Santa Cruz" guitars are awesome. Others (Gibson, Gallagher, Yamaha...) either are "booming" or have over-accentuated high tones.

There is so much snobbery surrounding acoustic guitars, I think the guitarist makes 50% of the sound, and the tonewoods/shape/bracing make up 50%. There is no best, just what sounds best to the individual player/listener. After owning dozens of different acoustic guitars, Martin, Fender, Gibson, Epiphone, Eko, Tanglewood, Takamine, Yamaha, Ovation, Stagg, just to name a few, I fell in love with the Lowden sound. I have owned a 32se for 8 years, and just ordered my (very expensive) dream guitar, a Lowden F50c in Sinker Redwood and African Blackwood. Nothing sounds like it, so warm, balanced, and rings like a bell for what seems like forever. I guess I don't like bright, twangy guitars 🙂
