Transport Layer -Getting programs/applications on nodes to send each other data, adding further functionality to layer 3 which enables nodes to communicate - multiplexing and demultiplexing - port - socket number TCP segment - comprised of a header and data payload - source and destination ports: - sequence number: tracks the position of a specific segment in a stream/sequence of segments - acknowledgement number - data offset field - header length, so that it is known where the data payload begins Control flags - syn - ack 3 way handshake - Computer A sends a TCP segment with a syn flag - indicating request for a connection and to review the sequence number send by B to know where the conversation starts -B responds with a segment with a syn and ack flag; requesting of a connection from A and acknowledging **read of the sequence number - A responds with an ack flag segment, acknowledging **read of B sequence number (thereby agreeing to connect) - This means connection established. Full duplex operational. Each segment sent by either side should be responded to by segment with the ack field set, ensuring that sender knows what's been received - fin_wait - connection oriented protocol - bit: just an electrical signal within a certain range

I am struggling with this teacher and I searched a lot to find an option to change this teacher but I couldn’t
