Thanks Artie, I didn't realise just how nearly impossible some of those roads are, but thank you once again for covering with such detail it makes us feel we were also on the trip with you. My own bucket list keeps growing because of your videos. Keep up the excellent work!

Thanks, Arty for another fantastic episode I have the advantage the high country is in my backyard. Only 4 1/2 hours from home. One good thing about the high country though is that the weather could turn it on or off and the tracks can change yearly from good to OMG. Once again a huge thank you for sharing this video with us all.

You are very lucky to live so close! It’s a truly spectacular place. Glad you are enjoying the series. I’ll definitely be back one day to explore more of the high country. I hope I am doing it justice! 😊👍

Well this certainly brings back some fond memories when I traversed the high country in my L.W.B. Land Rover safari wagon, no winches, no diff locks or traction controls just bar treads which seemed to work good, this was in the 60's and a lot has changed in vehicle designs but the country is just as beautiful, thanks for the memories.

Great video, recognise that crossing towards the end the exit there on to Camp Creek Track is always a little tricky, would have been doubly so with the rain you'd had.

Thankyou. Yes, a lot of the tracks were marked as difficult on the map, but made even more so by the rain. Still, I had a huge amount of fun! 😊👍

Go the FJ!! If your wondering what your squeaky noise is it’s your top and bottom bushes in the BP-51 shocks. Mines doing the same. Great content 👍🏻

Mate for those slippery descents have you considered using the crawl control function if your FJ has this? I find it is very good for those conditions.

Great episode! What sort of fuel consumption did you get during those slow-going tricky sections? Thanks
@4xAdventures
@4xAdventures 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much! I just had a look at my fuel app. It was ~22L/100km. My usual consumption around town is 15-18L/100km, so not a huge amount more, but definitely more. 😊👍

@@4xAdventures I wonder if I can ask you about something else to do with the FJ...? Seems like you have quite a bit of experience with them and I only recently acquired mine. I noticed with the (loaded) FJ when driving on main sealed roads with cruise control on, the moment you hit even a slight hill, the cruise control immediately kicks back a gear to try and maintain the speed but when going over the crest of these slight hills, the speed overshoots the set speed by about 5km/h before it eases off the throttle. This constant gear kick-back and speed overshoot becomes quite irritating and I wondered if it was just my vehicle or whether they all do it. One would think Toyota could do better on the software for the cruise control to not want to keep up the speed "no matter what" hill was being tackled. And then the speed overshoot seems like overkill and is unnecessary. FYI my tyres are 275/70/r17 so slightly bigger than standard.

Something's not right with the FJ. Either the car or the driver. A 70 series should not make it up a track with less effort than an FJ. I know this because I own a 70 and I go wheeling with an FJ. Thanks for the content team. Cheers
