Cheers thanks for that. I’ve had to hide my other videos because I’m a bit worried that this hobby could be under fire. It’s a long story but I will make the other videos viewable again soon.

Hey guys, Its been a minute, but that was well worth it. Some fantastic finds. A real mix of interesting relics. As always, thankyou for helping to rediscover and preserve our local history. I Love seeing your videos. Theres always something cool to learn. I live out near York so theres a lot of cool stuff around here. I often wonder about the people who last handled these items what were they like and what they were doing back then. If only these items could talk hey?

Hey mate thanks for the comment. I really appreciate it and yes anything with local history must go the local town museum so everyone can enjoy. I’m happy to keep coins and bottles etc. If you museum don’t have any, always important to do the right thing. York has some amazing history, starting to run out of spots now, let me know via p.m. if you have any ideas, happy to catch up

Happy as a pig in s**t to see another vid posted guys 😃 some incredible finds as always. Do you do the gold plating yourself? If so is it an expensive process? Thanks for sharing and look forward to the next!

Thanks Darren. I really appreciate it, sorry about the late reply. No I don’t do the plating myself. It is a particular gold plate paint. I will look up the brand and let you know in this comment. Very soon. You have to carefully apply it with a soft tissue or cloth.

Cheers mate, I must do a video on this because everyone does seem to be interested. I use a very light soft wire brush to get the dirt off then I use a coat of baby oil. Wipe the baby oil off and your left with a nicedark patina.
