My cousin did time in that prison. Thanks for giving a nice little tour thru there. BTW, there was a gallows that was built into one of the hallways. It's now located in the police museum in York City.

I been in there many times growing up, after it closed not a prisoner lol. My stepdad was one of the last prisoners there, before they moved everybody to the new one. His uncle was a guard for nearly 30 years there. My great grandfather was the Warren. My family has long history there, several prisoners, but mostly guards and a Warren. Al Capone was a prisoner there briefly. That prison goes back pre “civil war” and housed pow’s. It’s definitely haunted, they hung people in the yard. I can show you spots people died and Al Capone’s cell. I know the history very well there.

My dad was a guard there back in the 70's. I remember his uniform and him coming home and locking his pistol in a metal box and telling us kids to never ever mess with it. He kept it high on top of his closet shelf. We never messed with it! I want to get in this place so bad!! Can you STILL get in??

You guys are brave. When I was 6 years old 1970, this was in operation, and the guys at the windows would clank their cups on those metal bars in the window. I always felt bad for them. ❤😊

I think that’s a bad idea for these young guys they have no experience in the paranormal as that’s nothing to mess around with as the paranormal is a legit real thing and when these guys have I am sure never gone into it can backfire on them if there not careful but to me it looks like there not focused on it.
