Truly a great video. Love the close up shots. Sometimes you crack me up when you're trying to net the fish and almost fall in. Maybe you could show the size of the flies you're using and when you're doing a dropper and a surface.

Always entertaining. Am heading over to fish the Tongariro in a couple of weeks with my Father. He is getting on a bit and I was wondering if you might point me in the direction of some easy to access fishing pools. His mobility is pretty good but I wouldn't want him to fall or anything. Thanks

IDK mate he just posts on a Tuesday and I have always done Wednesday. But yeah he must work hard to get it turned around that quick
@robertolmstead81935 жыл бұрын
why do you guys do what we call "horsing a fish in?" I mean it seems to me that for you the real point of your fishing is all in the spotting the fish and hooking it. Once you have done that you hand line them in. Why not fish a four pound tippet so there is a chance that the fish can break you off if you are not careful and then use your skill to fight the fish in its own environment? And please all the time tell me what fly you are using and why. I like the close up of the fish--the closer to the camera the bigger they appear, yes? Come to California, and I will put you on a spring creek where you are fishing 7x with a #20 spinner and the trout can track your fly for ten feet..
