That one machine ain't nothing. Back in 2013, I stayed at a Hotel near Tokyo Narita (Narita Airport Rest House) and they had a FamilyMart vending area made of three machines not too far from the lobby.

The pizza looked really tasty and like out of a restaurant, and not a vending machine. And the fortune telling vending machine is so cute and with so much attention to detail. I like, that its not only in Japanese. And I amazed, what you can get in Japan, out of vending machines. Last year on Kyushu, we saw at steak vending machine. Why would you like to get steak (probablly frozen) out of a vending machine ? But its really fascinating for me as a non japanese person.

I found that same fortune-telling machine at Kinosaki Onsen. I made six videos of it. The fun part is when no one uses the maschine after a while, the shrine maiden will look left and right for possable customers.

Those were some cool vending machines. The ramen looked really good. The cake that looked like rice balls was so pretty. I can see someone having that as a birthday cake. I wish we had vending machines in our airports in the USA. Although, we might because I haven't been to an airport for a long time. I used to take a lot of red-eye flights and the restaurants in the airport would never be open so you couldn't get a snack.

⁠most international flights use terminal 3 with some ANA international flights using terminal 2, but I believe all these vending machines are landside so you can still visit these machines in terminal 2 if you're at the airport.

Do you choose what will be in the next film, or are they available at the destination and added as they come? Or do you plan what will be the next film and travel based on that. As always, I like what you present on your channel. Living in Sweden, all Japan things you show is new to me. In Sweden, the vending machines are disappearing instead. I have never seen more than a few. They have then sold sweets and drinks, but very rarely and in very few places. In the purple town I live in, with 30,000 inhabitants, there are none.

However, I also stay flexible and often add things as I discover them at my destination. It’s interesting to hear that vending machines are disappearing in Sweden! We in Sweden are struggling to reduce the use of plastic. How easy it would have been if they put a whole apple on the shelf, then you eat the apple as you have always done, without plastic. You have teeth and don't need a split apple. So totally unnecessary. But plastic is everywhere in Japan...
