Yes, I cherish these one on one trips that I’ve done with my kids. I’ll keep doing them as long as I can. Of course we love it when the whole family can be together on a vacation, but there’s just something special about the one on one time ❤️

I definitely want to check out the Universal Studios in Florida with my kids someday! I went to islands of adventure years ago before married with kids. And I do remember it being such a fun place. I know my kids would have a blast! Plus, I would love to see all the Harry Potter stuff they have there. Thanks friend! 🩷

I'm so glad you got to take this trip with your daughter. It looks like you had a lot of fun. We want to go back to Universal since the Mario World is new since we went. What did you all think of Harry Potter World? My girls really liked the wand experience.

Harry Potter world was definitely our favorite part of Universal Studios! Unfortunately, we didn’t do the wand experience, kind of regretting that we didn’t make time for it. But there was just so much to do and not enough time at our day at Universal. Maybe maybe next time. Yes, you guys would enjoy the super Nintendo world, since you guys are Mario fans 😃

Hi Holly! This looks like such a fun and special trip with your daughter!!! Wow!! You packed SO MUCH into 3 days!! You even got to see some old friends! My son and husband would love the Mario Land area! My husband and I went to Universal Studios Orlando last year and that was not open there yet. We did enjoy the Harry Potter World though!

I am now interested in going to see how different the Universal Studios Orlando Harry Potter world is like. I keep hearing that it is pretty much the same, at least the part that is in Island of Adventure, but it might be a little bigger and offer an additional ride. I would love to do the, two park experience there where you can take the train to get from one Harry Potter land to the other, but it’s so expensive because you have to buy the park hopper in order to do that. Interesting seeing all the new things at Universal Studios that I have never seen. The Pet ride and Mario Brothers were not there. One show I really love seeing is the special effects show. I'm not sure what it is called but it explains the behind the scene things like sounds for example. Christmas time, I think, is the best time of year with the WhoVille and the Grinch shows. Always fun to go to Santa Monica. Sounds like a perfect trip.

I’m wondering if they still do have the special effects show where they show you the behind-the-scenes stuff. I remember stuff like that when we went back in the day. Universal Studios, from what I understand keeps changing, they’ve had so many rides come in and out. I hope Harry Potter world stays, though! It was definitely our favorite part. 😀
