I just got back from London doing a Harry Potter week. All the way from seattle!! We stayed there at Christ Church! It was amazing. And then went to the warners brothers Harry Potter studio and did the Dinner in the great hall. Best trip ever!!!

Hi guys great video's, I was born in te oxford area, I also used compete in athletics for the universty when i was 14 and 15 years old, Our home track owned by the universaty was the same track, that Sir Roger Bannister broke the 4 minute mile, which was at Ifley Road Oxford

Is it only me or are others also sad that the almost one thousand year history of Oxford University is ignored by most visitors in their search for Harry Potter film locations. ☹️

Well it's certainly a sad reality that grown adults are more interested in children's pulp fiction than more highbrow writers. I mean if you want to stick with children's writers JRR Tolkein and CS Lewis used to meet at the Eagle and Child pub in Oxford, and you can go and sit right where they used to sit.

@PGHEngineer unfortunately you can’t. The Eagle and Child was foreclosed in 2020 :(

@@lilyandjosh You're right. I forgot. But it will be re-opening soon. And the other Inklings pub the Lamb and Flag is open (opposite side of the street to the Bird and Baby), and in fact I think it has been refurbed. Worth noting that Oxford University colleges own huge amounts of land both in Oxford and beyond. I think they own both of these pubs. Of course the Turf Tavern is a historic pub too, and a favourite of my youngest son who is studying for his doctorate at the university. By the way, I really like your presentation style. You are very upbeat and enthusiastic without coming across as false or too much like TV presenters. Are you hoping to turn vlogging into a career?
