The more stairs you climb, the easier it is to stay in shape. Always take the stairs, especially on the ship. San Francisco comes to mind. Seattle also.

I've had Vigo on my radar for some time - it seems a start point for the Atlantic National Park (or something ilke that) - offshore islands, with sandy beaches. I've flown over it many times en route to Lisbon / Madeira. I didn't realise it was so hilly - the escalators are a result! They also have the escalators on Hong Kong Island - certainly up to the mid levels. Looking forward to seeing you in my 'home patch'!

.Most countries look the same . Why do you say Spain is underrrated? I have just been to Spain. Barcelona and Madrid is so crowded..

You're right-Barcelona and Madrid can be insanely crowded, and that’s not really what we think of when we say Spain is underrated. For us, the charm of Spain lies in the off-the-beaten-path places, like Vigo and the surrounding areas. Those spots are more relaxed, authentic, and just give you a whole different vibe. We’d definitely go back to explore more of those hidden gems, but Madrid and Barcelona? Yeah, we’ve had our fill. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
