I was looking at your class. I think my biggest issue is not knowing when to drop paint into a painted area and having trouble with paint ratio to water. Does your class cover these things!

This was an amazing help! I’ve probably heard some of this in various workshops I’ve attended, but your summary will go a long way towards giving me more self confidence in my watercolor painting.

Very helpful, thank you. I do have a question though. In this video you mentioned the sign writer brush. In some of your other videos you use a calligraphy brush. Are these the same? If not, what size calligraphy brush would you recommend for a beginner?

Thanks, it is excellent and very useful! - For what size of paper the brushes you show are fitted? - Is it possible to find the "Dream Catcher 14" online?

Thanks very much for the video. Some round brushes I've seen are cut at an angle on the opposite end of the brush - is that for making blades of grass, etc?

Thank you Matt, very interesting. Glad to see you use synthetic hair brushes as well. How do you keep your natural hair brushes in shape? What are the things to be careful with pan paints and brushes?? I have a special brush to get and dilute pan paint before I use another brush. Please let us know. And thank you for your wonderful video!

I would use organic natural soap to clean natural hair brushes and water. Stay away from stripping types of soaps. Think of it like your own hair.

Matt, when using a mop brush, I'm having a problem with to much water. What is your suggestion?
@artericson2 жыл бұрын
That's what I would do as well! keep testing until you have the right amount of water on the brush.
@mikenoneofyourbusiness712211 ай бұрын
Learn water control. The problem is in your skill, not in the brush itself.

Teacher: “ what brush are you using?” Student: “ I can’t tell ,the number is worn off” Teacher: “ you pass “
@mikenoneofyourbusiness712211 ай бұрын
No need to onow the numbers. It always depends on the size of your paper, so you will definitely need a few sizes.

I don’t have a knowledge about drawing and painting. How could I learn to painting ? Have any classes for the beginner ?
@mikenoneofyourbusiness712211 ай бұрын
Just pick up a pensil or pen and start creating lines on paper, representing shapes in your environment. There were zero art classes or courses just 2-3 hundred years ago, yet there are tons of artworks. No, you DO NOT need any lessons. You have your eyes.

For the love of god just tell us the size number 😂
@mikenoneofyourbusiness712211 ай бұрын
It depends on how big is your paper. The bigger the paper, the bigger the brushes. You will need a few! You don’t need any numbers, seriously.
