Explosion Mini Booklet TUTORIAL Part 1/Digital Collage Club Design Team Project

Let’s make a super fun explosion mini booklet like this! This is my Design Team Project for the Digital Collage Club. In this first of 2 episodes, I am showing you the construction of the inside of the booklet and we will create some interactive page decorations.

I love it so far. On my way to watch part 2. Little tip for your viewers that, like me, do not have that handy distress tool. I keep the dull blades from my paper cutter and when I want to distress and rough up my papers, I switch out my new blade with an old dull one and I get the same results, much quicker and easier on the hands. 😘

I love this project. I used card stock and it was really thick, so I placed it in my flower press. It looks really flat now but goinh to leave it there for the day. Thank you for sharing

I've made these over the years and they are called squash books. You only have to fold one diagonal line, which is what I do (I think it also looks nicer with one less line/crease).

I had just made one of these for a friend and discovered there only needs to be one diagonal fold all the flat areas are on the other diagonal fold. It helps with the confusion of where things should fold when there is no fold line on the flat areas. So there are two cross folds and one diagonal fold!

So cute. I love all these neutral colors. They really help your accent colors pop! This is one I will watch and use your knowledge of collage. But my brain can’t wrap around the folding and the up and down, left and right. But it’s super cute!!

Oh how cute is this? 😍😍😍 . Wow, your nails are neon!! Way to commit to you current vibes 👍. I would keep losing a 'grungifying ' tool if I had one 🙈. I love the alchemy set, I'm pairing it with Luise's Sa Brina witchy kit but will probably use it with steampunk too. I made a plastic tearing ruler and the transparency definitely helps. Collal is my favourite every day glue, it adds strength 💪too. Oh that stencil works so well with these papers 😍. I'm definitely going to take inspiration from the way you're decorating this!
