This video outlines an even faster way to export all your Zbrush layers as individual displacement maps to be used afterward how you see fit. The workflow outlined in this video is specifically tailored towards importing these layers in Substance Painter and uses a series of free tools that are available on our website.

Awesome! Thank you and Florian. - Request: Workflow of baking & painting multiple parts (like a robot) in Substance, and then combine the UVs in a single texture map. I'm making it in a long way that feels wrong.

Sounds to me like you just need to repack the UVs from the multiple objects into one UV sheet on a separate UV set (UV 2) and do a texture transfer from UV set 1 (the separated UVs) to UV set 2 (the combined UVs).

Since it's a convoluted process and it seems SP is industry standard, I was wondering how industry in fact handle this part - it could be a single checkbox in SP "Merge into a single texmap".

@@FredSena Yeah if you're talking about not having to repack the UVs in any way, just exporting as a single map multiple texture sets, I can definitely see that as a feature that would be nice for them to implement.

Hi there! Is there a method to GoZ all subtools on the highest sub-d level ? Or maybe a method to collapse all lower sub-d ? im working with 20+ subtools and its taking allot of time collapsing them seperately.

Tried testing this with zbrush 2023 and 2024, I'm getting the follow error saying the interface does not have any special modifiers , updatee* it works with zbrush 2021 but is not exporting UDIMs

Why do you need to be able to transfer layers? I just apply layers before exporting. Just seems like a lot more work

You could, for instance, use the individual layers to drive separate masks in Painter when creating your albedo. Darken the skin pores but not the fine wrinkles. Make the milia whiter. The workflow opens up a lot of possibilities.

I suck at zbrush and substance painter... I am really good in zbrush fro the few things I use it for. But I didn't come here for that. I came here to say, again, disclaimer, beauty is only skin deep... but I was watching videos of my favorite french rapper, the ski-mask clad SIBOY, love him or hate him he's talented. NOT THE POINT. His french reminded me of OUTGANG and then because of the aggression i started thinking about how if laura ever gets mad she's one of those girls that loooks insanely pretty when she's mad. Not that I want to make anybody mad. Or that being mad is cool. But laura is that type of girl that when she's mad I ASSUME she's got the flaring nostrils, and the furrowed brow, and she's just ridiculously cute and hot and all that. Again. This has no bearing on the content. (I realize beauty is skin deep, its superficial, but its also worth noting.) I bet if you make this girl mad, AGAIN, not advocating pissing somebody off on purpose, but if you did, she'd be one of those girls who looks indescribably sexy if pissed off. So as a red-blooded male, if this were to happen, I'm full disclosure, would be trying to stay on task and of course diffuse the situation and try to remedy the issue that Miss Gallagher is upset about.... of course... that's the primary objective... but the animal alpha male in me would DEFINITELY take note in how sexy she'd "be" while angry.. of course, she wouldn't be trying to be sexy, she would just be. Sexy. if you've not experienced a girl that looks beautiful mad, I don't recommend pissing anybody off for no reason, but christ, if there ever is a girl.... Laura's the one... But I also think that laura would be a prime candidate for high-octane runway modelling... Again... beauty, in 1000yrs, who cares who was pretty today..... its superficial, I get that, but superficial or not, laura gallagher is one of the hottest ladies I've ever seen, and when I say hot, I also mean beautiful, gorgeous, and stunning. And this is NOT a simp post, I'm just speaking facts. If you're cloudy on what I'm speaking, LOOK AT THE SCREEN. christ sake... there's super models(no shade) that couldn't hold a candle to this young lady. And I thank the stars I got into 3d modelling in 2007 because that caused the youtube algorythm to suggest her channel. Again, NOT for the beauty, but for her incredibly vast, and insane level of knowledge. BUT THE PRETTY IS A BONUS. I realize this is random and stupid posting to most people, but, I'm just speaking facts, and if I cared what anybody thought, I'd have asked for an opinion. I didn't, so let a fellow take a moment to stop watching a hot rap video for a moment because the french rappers(I barely understand french, but I get a good amount of what french rappers say) remind me of this lovely lady and what she might look like mad, because in some random bizzarre universe, this post actually makes sense. to somebody. Aww fuck it... you ever see somebody so smart, talented and hot that it makes you kind of stupid when you talk? That's laura for me. She's great. and she wears alot of leather and ALOT of really classy clothes. So judge me all you want. I'd rather speak my mind and look like an idiot than be silent and get nowhere in life. Its whatever. Anyway, Great content, laura, I actually haven't watched this vid yet but I've earmarked it, because I'm a zbrush idiot. I do a few things very well in zbrush and suck at 100% of the rest of zbrush so this video is top priority. HOwever, I want to get back to jamming my french rap, and hopefully they won't remind me to come back over here and make a silly post on your page. because, although I don't CARE, I acknowlege that posts like this make me look like i have no idea how to turn on a light or open a refridgerator. But a stunning smart woman has that effect on a man. It always has. Welcome to high school.
