Hector, there used to be a hot-key combination over a decade ago which would instantly export any list or any tabular data on the screen to a spreadsheet. I cannot remember the key combination, but it did involve one of the F-keys. If you know, is this available anymore, or has this function been discontinued? It was a highly useful tool, and is tragic if it isn't available anymore.

Hi Hector! We made a backup on Excel of the data from our old accounting system to eventually go to QB. In the file, we noticed that points were added after all our product numbers. How to get rid of these points so as not to cause problems in our management. Thanks!

Great video. A couple of questions. Why when I run it also shows the transaction lines for COGS and ASSET accounts for the items. I did not see you had to filter them out. Also, when I add the QTY column it shows as a negative number?

Hi Hector, great video. Can you export out from Quickbooks desktop every historical sales transaction to excel to allow you import into a new software. such as transaction number, customer details, products purchased, amounts and taxes plus the total transaction amount

Hector, thank for the detailed instructions, very helpful. I have a question regarding pulling detailed data. I'm trying to get Open Purchase orders by line for inventory items. We have monthly receipts of inventory items and order up to 6 months in advance. We need the detail of Part No on every row in Excel, including PN, PO#, Due Date, Vendor. That way I can create a waterfall Excel report by vendor of what I have on order. Is there a way to do that? The only way I can find to pull the report lists the PN once and then the PN is not repeated on each row. So I would then have to copy it down for each PO and we have over 1,000 part numbers.

You cant inside QB.. you would need to do it in excel using an app called QQUBE

Please I need help!!!. I am using QB desktop Prem. I get progress payments (down payment) from an insurance company the problem is that sometime without any notices they deduct some payments when the customer cancels - debiting the amount from the new customer down payment invoice automatically. This refunds does not hit the bank just their statements where it shows the adjustment How can I handle these type of AR with negative impact...Thanks in advance.

@@HectorGarciaCPA Hector, sorry that I been persistence and truly appreciate your quick response. The chargeback don't hit the bank at all. This finance co deducts the refund from the deposit from another (new) customer. Please allow me to explained: ie: finance co deposits $1K AR in behalf of Mike (customer) then he cancels later the Finan deducts it from a new customer (Mary) $2K AR so we get a partial payment only $1K. This is a puzzle...help!!!.
