Great video Liv! So sorry for those poor elephants. If it’s a sanctuary, they should still be roaming freely and people could still visit like at a Safari. The one we went to didn’t have elephants caged up like this but you could still ride on them. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! Yeah it’s difficult to find a proper ethical place. Riding elephants is really bad for their backs and they’re tortured into submission to allow tourists to do this.

Such intelligent and beautiful creatures! People who mistreat animals are the worst.

Absolutely. So disgusting.

So sad that these magnificent animals have to suffer. You are so correct that people need to research animal/wildlife organizations to help support the ones that truly care more about the animals.

Most definitely! It’s easy to neglect where our money goes on holiday but very important that we support all wildlife

So sad, but a great point about researching the animal/wildlife places you are visiting before agreeing to go...

Interesting vlog. Never heard of Chiang Mai. Even though you said it's the most polluted city, I would still like to experience its rich culture.

Well worth visiting! Lots of temples, great food and night markets to discover.

I wonder why he was poking the elephant? So sad. I hope this video goes viral and it raises awareness.

I think it’s all part of the training. They injure them to make them act a certain way like to calm down or do a trick

Those poor elephants, definitely agree about researching places.

Do they have scars on tbeir heads? The trainor poke then with a sharp big needle so that they follow the trainor command when a tourist rides them.. poor animals

Yes. At first I didn’t realise what he was doing but then I saw he had something in his hand he kept poking the elephants with!
