I must be around the same age as yourself, I reached 'voting age' in 1971, and in almost every general election since then I have voted Labour, except for a couple of elections when I lived abroad. Coming from a poor working class background born and bred on council estates, My entire working life comprised of low paid factory work, with a few months down a coal mine, and about 4 years working shifts on a huge steelworks, and almost the entire 'Fatcher' years either on the dole or about to be on the dole, as factory after factory closed it's doors. I have despised the Tory party and everything it represents for my entire adult life, and I had to learn to hate them, I didn't suddenly wake up one day and think "I know,..I will hate the Tories for the lest of my life. Mr Corbyn actually gave me the opportunity to vote *FOR* Labour twice, and I thank him for that, every other time I wasn't voting FOR Labour, but AGAINST the Tory "Vermin" (the late great Nye Bevan was spot on then, and nothing has changed since) I just can't vote for a government which is so close to the Tories in attitude and policy that those of us so desperate for change will see very little if any under Smarming Starmer the kid starver. I don't say this lightly, but I will not be able to vote for ANY 'so called' leader of the Labour party who gets *praised* by a TORY prime minister for dropping yet another LIE made to cheat his way into the leaders job, and for adopting the TORY policy of putting the rich before hungry children from poor families. Utterly sickening. *NOT OUR LABOUR PARTY*

NO mainstream politicians or at least their leaders represent the people. They are pre vetted. There is a fascinating and informative YT vlog by an American. I can't remember who. He explains WHY Western governments back Israel with no qualifications. The quid pro quo of total, unquestioning support of the western "democracies" is that Israel does their dirty work, which would be impossible or difficult for them to do directly. Israel functions as a permanent wedge in the Middle East, preventing Arab unification or a formation of a pan Arabic union, along the lines of the EU. That would be catastrophic for United States, Canada, UK and EU interests. It must be true. Gaddafi of Libya tried something along those lines, backed by Mubarak of Egypt. Look what happened to Gaddafi. Mubarak was ousted in short order, even though he was friendly towards the west.

Let me get this right you vote reform, why the same backer as the tories only know there feel emboldened, the Tories are out, Labour only been in a month and under the most terrible and hostile conditions, and note the links between the far-right, Russia Israel and in some cases China are now becoming clear, the Tories and there hateful clones that includes reform UK, can never get into power, they are just the puppets of hostile states, they had 14 years and all they did was destroy the UK and in the last 6 of their term salting the earth, maybe cut them some slack. Tommy Robinson: A central figure is Tommy Robinson, former leader of the English Defence League (EDL), known for his racist and anti-Muslim views. Despite the EDL's formal disbandment in 2013, Robinson continued to mobilize support against migrants and Muslims. His recent rally in London, attended by around 20,000 people, was a precursor to subsequent riots. Misinformation and Violence: Misinformation on social media falsely accused a Muslim of a stabbing attack, leading to violence and attacks on mosques. The true identity of the attacker was later revealed as a UK-born Christian with Rwandan heritage. Robinson's Zionism and Funding: Robinson's support for Israel is significant. He has expressed Zionist views and has been linked to various pro-Israel organizations: Robert Shillman: Tech billionaire Robert Shillman, a former director of the Friends of the Israeli Defense Forces, has funded Robinson and his activities. Shillman reportedly paid Robinson $111,000 per month and supported far-right media outlets like Rebel Media. Middle East Forum (MEF): The MEF, led by Greg Roman, has provided $660,000 for Robinson’s legal fees and organized rallies. Roman has a background with the Israeli government and Defense Department. Rebel Media and Tours: Robinson and other far-right figures, including Katie Hopkins, were funded by organizations like Rebel Media for trips to Israel. Hopkins has used her platform to spread misinformation and mobilize racist sentiments, often supported by pro-Israel entities. Katie Hopkins: Known for her extreme right-wing views, Hopkins has promoted anti-Muslim rhetoric and has been involved with pro-Israel groups. She has been financed by Robert Shillman and has appeared at events organized by the David Horowitz Freedom Center. Historical Context and Alliances: Far-right leaders in Britain and Europe have shifted from earlier anti-Semitic ideologies to aligning with Zionist and anti-Muslim agendas. This shift reflects a broader alliance between anti-Muslim hate and Zionism, connecting the situation in Gaza with racist violence in the UK. And this is just some the Israel links, we all know Russia links to the Tories, they've been well documented, and of course we have Elon in the Mix now, not sure where he stands but seems clear he is Russia/Kremlin and pro Trump extremism. Shame really, I really supported what I thought was his agenda for humanity (but now what is his agenda, given his recent actions), so now I have to reconsider.

What a sad state Britain is in if this is what is now leading our great country

LOL - are you Rip van Winkle - Starmer lies yes but did you not hear of Bunter, Trussed-it-up and Sepoy Sunak - not to mention all their lying predecessors.

Does anyone here think there's hope for Britain? I ask with all sincerity... I am overwhelmed with heartbreak, seeing my beloved country fall to a new low with every passing government and having to look elsewhere for a better life and somewhat better future.

I feel the same way. 73 years old and I’ve never felt as throughly depressed by the state of the country, the lack of any serious political party prepared to tackle the dreadful inequalities.of wealth, the lack of true strategic thinking, the growth of the right and the dominance of neo-con economics. If I were able to, I’d abandon ship and go live elsewhere.

@@glynnwadeson5605 I'm 82 and optimistic, the swamp is being drained and the world, not just us, America and Europe are every bit as bad if not worse and there is terrible criminality involved some of it sadly involving children in huge numbers. So, it must be defeated, now this year. The crash we face must be total, that means international banking, which is the Cabals main source of income, together with crimes against humanity, which carries the ultimate penalty. It would have to be done by an international military force, under war time emergency powers, which gives them the right to take over. I don't think we will have to concern ourselves with political scraps for a while . When we can renew an entirely different system may emerge. There has to be change, when people learn how wicked some of these people really are I don't think many will wish it to continue. There will be some turbulence, but beyond it a bright and prosperous future waits.

They have wiped half my message, sufficient to say this bunch of crooks, will be dealt with, many have been already, but the media don't report it. I think International military will take over until matters are settled under Emergency powers, and many changes will be made, however sovereign nations will have the deciding voice, there is much to look forward to. A lot of great technological methods of healing, which have been hidden by the Pharmaceutical companies who don't want cures, but want sick people to take their pills and potions and jabs at great expense. Five years from now I think the world will be very prosperous, no starvation or people on the streets. Sadly I am unlikely to be here to see it.

@@sirmeowthelibrarycatwhy not vote for Labour they are just the same as the Tories visa versa. They are all sub parties of the WEF who's aleagence is not with the people left or right but for themselves at your expense. If you want to read all three party manifesto just read the WEF manifesto, its what these parties will deliver.

Well done, Peter for this analysis - you are right about Starmer - he's a great disappointment - we hoped for a better Britain when the present shower are ejected from Westminster but its just going to be the same old medicine. Up till the time of the war criminal I'd always voted Labour but after his disastrous reign my vote went elsewhere - not the tories by the way! Democracy in the UK is now truly dead - big money is more than ever deciding policies.
