This just proves how much of a golden child Michael is (No matter if it is the og or swap au). OgElizabeth once also tried to speak up for herself but OgWilliam would never believe her, and even if he did, it would all fade away when he gets reminded of how she is an 'affair baby'. Instead, OgElizabeth developed a savior complex that all of her abuse means that she is protecting that horrible person until her death to cope with her reality. Swap Michael really was innocent in this matter, but for OgWilliam, it just reminds me time and time again how horrible he is as a parent, as he never did any proper investigation, and SwapMichael never really gave proper evidence as well. Michael nd Elizabeth are like oil and water in both aus. The rule in their house is be loved or be abandoned. Charlie was saved from this war because Henry is there to protect her. Chris/Cc (forgot the name used in this channel) was somewhat saved due to being the youngest, though that doesn't mean that he can escape the golden child tyranny as well.
