iiMPCT NEWS & MEDIA:
Where to start?
1. Civilians having FULL ACCESS to the post office private areas.
2. Packages left in PUBLIC AREAS.
3. MISPRINTED SIGNS
4. Wild PACKAGE DELAYS
5. TURNED AWAY customers
6. Systems SHUT DOWN!
LANGUAGE CORRECTION: Property became FEDERAL ACCESS, not FEDERAL PROPERTY.
DISPLAYED TEXT CORRECTION: passages should be packages. Second time displayed iPhone stole the C & K.
QUESTION: Do you know the legality of selling religious items in a post office? I’m curious. I’m not for it against in either direction, as I’m all about others freedoms, but I’m very curious on the subject. If anyone knows. Especially being inside a store situation.
Unorganized post offices can potentially lead to violations of our civil rights in a few ways:
1. Delayed or lost mail: If a post office is unorganized and lacks efficient systems for handling and delivering mail, it can result in significant delays or even lost mail. This can have serious implications for individuals who rely on timely delivery of important documents, such as legal notices, government communications, or sensitive personal information. Delays or losses of mail can hinder people's ability to exercise their rights and participate in important processes.
2. Discriminatory practices: In an unorganized post office, there may be a lack of clear guidelines or policies regarding equal treatment and non-discrimination. This can create opportunities for discriminatory practices, such as selectively delaying or mishandling mail based on factors like race, religion, or political affiliation. Such actions can infringe upon individuals' civil rights, including their right to equal treatment and freedom from discrimination.
3. Privacy breaches: A disorganized post office may have inadequate safeguards in place to protect individuals' privacy. Mishandling of mail, such as delivering it to the wrong recipients or failing to handle sensitive information appropriately, can result in privacy breaches. This can violate individuals' right to privacy, as enshrined in various legal frameworks, and potentially lead to identity theft or unauthorized access to personal information.
4. Inefficient complaint resolution: An unorganized post office may struggle to effectively address customer complaints or concerns. If individuals encounter issues with their mail delivery or face civil rights violations, a lack of organized processes for complaint resolution can hinder their ability to seek redress and have their grievances appropriately addressed.
It is important to note that these potential violations are not exclusive to unorganized post offices, as even well-organized post offices can face challenges. However, an organized and efficient post office is better equipped to uphold individuals' civil rights by ensuring timely, fair, and non-discriminatory mail delivery while safeguarding privacy and providing a means for effective complaint resolution.

She thinks the post office is part of her property. No wonder she feels entitled to walk behind the counter. She thinks she owns the post office. She needs a reality check big time. I’m In Canada and we have a post office inside a pharmacy where I live. I have never seen a pharmacist behind the post office counter. I’ve also never seen a bible being sold there. There should be a clear delineation between the Hallmark retail space and the space occupied by the Post Office...which is probably renting a specific square footage of the building to deliver the federal services provided by Postal employees. The Hallmark employee or owner needs to understand that the minute she signed an agreement to sublet to the Federal Government...i.e. the Post Office...she quarantined access to the Post Office service area and she lost the ability to prevent the exercise of all Constitutionally guaranteed rights...like access to the Post Office and filming federal facilities and employees in the course of their duties.

@Dcny2009 You misread or I joked unclearly. Everyone agrees government may rent private space. But then some people seem to think that that means the Constitution doesn't apply to govt in those spaces. My first sentence, in single quotes, was my representation of that viewpoint. The bill of rights restricts government operations not private operations. That means it restricts government operations regardless what type of land they are on. The viewpoint I'm calling illlogical confuses land type for operations type.

The behavior is illegal in every state, it just gets called different things. For instance blocking a cameraman's vision. CA calls that a civil rights (Bane) violation. Other states may call it harassment. No state says it's OK. Or marching into a cameraman's personal space and barking, "Get that camera out of my face!" Bane in CA, intimidation somewhere else, criminal everywhere. Btw Bane protects the exercise of constitutional rights generally, not just the press.

This setup is almost like here in Sweden. We had government run post offices here up until 2001, but since then the postal services are done at other places, usually like grocery stores, gas stations or convenient stores like 7-Eleven. They don't leave packages in the public area though (not of what I've seen at least), it's always taken into a big storage area in the back.

@@iimpctmedia Yeah, but we're so used to it now, it's hard to remember what it was like when we still did have post offices, I just have a pretty vague picture in my mind of the little local post office where I grew up. It's probably a lot cheaper for PostNord (our equivalent to USPS), to have the stores handle customers, so they save money on like rent and staff, (PostNord still pick up and deliver the mail though), compared to having their own post offices, and many grocery stores, gas stations or convenient stores want the right to do the postal services, because the extra money from PostNord + it brings in more people to their stores, even if gets them to do extra work, and needs to have extra storage in the back for all the packages and such.

For someone who knows the constitution, you should know separation of church and state is not included. Thomas Jefferson was worried about the state setting up shop in the churches, not the other way around. The mention of "separation of church and state" comes from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson and not a law or amendment. It is fully legal to have religious materials in a state owned area. 63% of the constitution refers to God. People who don't believe in God ironically still believe in God given rights. The constitution only protects God given rights, it does not give the citizens any rights but protects the ones they were born with.

You NEVER heard someone say “you need permission to film me”, or “this is a federal building. You can’t film here”…. and back then, not everyone had a camera in their pocket, so a camera was RARE. Today everybody older than 8 years old has a video camera on them, but now, NOW filming outside is considered weird, or rare? And it causes people to freak TF out?? That old guy probably lived the first 60+ years of his life with people having cameras being considered normal when out in public. But today, when there are cameras, on every street corner, in every car, and every building, and now he has a problem with a person holding a camera⁉️ This FAILED logic hits escapes my brain, it is just such stupid thinking. Have none of these people never been to an amusement part? A beach? A popular tourist attraction? All places where people have been taking video and pictures of their family that included everyone in the background, for 50+ years!! It’s nut! 😂

When are people going to get it about freedom? A post office inside a Halmark store?? WTF?? If a federal property is in a private business it becomes fully public by law. It's no one's obligation to make someone to feel in any form. Our feelings is our own, control them. The Halmark store owner IS a firestarter and she is starting fires with everyone. How hypocritical can someone be that does not want to be recorded and records you back? How stupid.

@@AmericanProud7 the opposite is actually true. Rights are like muscles, you need to use them so they dont go away. So many people, from the police, to government officials, to even people like you, think its perfectly acceptable to strip away the rights afford us in the Constitution, because someone else is offended or uncomfortable, but your narrow view only affects rights you disagree with. If it was something you agreed with, but someone else did not, you would be arguing the opposite side. Either we exercise and respect ALL rights, or we will lose them.
