They had some legendary songs back in 2nd gen and a lot of people knew at least Jimin (or only Jimin) from variety shows and such, so it's not like people only noticed her now, because of the scandal. It's more like she has been stealing so much spotlight for herself for the past 10 years that it backfired at her. She made herself known to basically every 2nd gen stan out there so now that her real persona is out, it was just very easy for everybody to remember who she is. sooooo… this didn’t aged well. A former Korean reporter Lee Jin Ho explained it pretty well imo. If you don’t want to look it up, he basically said that Mina developed ill feelings towards Jimin as jimin was the one who put her in place when she’s getting out of hand and being unreasonable and difficult. She claimed that she loved her father a lot and hated jimin for not letting her see her father but then appeared on a channel, revealing that she hated her father and wanted him to die. Not pulling this out from my ass, it’s literally on KZbin and if you just search Mina Jimin there’ll be tons of videos covering this. Not gonna ask the top comments to delete their comments as it’s up to themselves to make their own decisions but this puts into perspective that you shouldn’t just side with someone because they’ve got mental disorders. Y’all may not be directly responsible for Jimin losing her entire showbiz career but you definitely played a part in it.
