AP Physics student here, even if they were able to make a ball that was perfectly bouncy, meaning that when it lands, 100% of its kinetic energy falling down would be reversed, making the ball go up, the ball still wouldn’t come back up to his hand. This is because forces like friction and gravity exist, slowing the ball down. Meaning that when the ball is dropped, even if it were to perfectly convert its potential energy into kinetic energy, and when it it the floor, it would perfectly reverse its kinetic energy, bringing it back up, there’s a very important force bringing it back down, gravity, that would slow it down as it comes back up to his hand. And this is Al assuming they could create a perfectly bouncy ball, which is impossible. TLDR: Sure, this might be a very bouncy ball, but it is impossible to create a ball that, when dropped, will come right back up to the height at which it was dropped.

I have the original version of this thing-Originally called “Moon Ball” from Waboba- It’s very cool and does bounce higher than a regular ball of the like, and it makes a cool popping sound if it lands on one of the holes. But it doesn’t bounce so high that it returns to your hand…physics don’t work like that. And how is it possible for them to willingly reverse it when there is clear evidence of footage reversal…?
