When I was studying tand practicing this spirituality, it blessed me with things but what I didn’t know was it also brought darkness to my life. When we think back to David playing the harp for Soul, it never said he sang a song but he simply played a tune but it still had the power to intimidate an evil spirit (1 Samuel 16:14-23). She was just here in Salvador, Bahia, Brasil for AfroPunk. Candomblè is here, so she definitely will be back or extend her stay. I went to a ceremony with a friend. I grew up in a Pentecostal household, but pastors and churches have made me feel they're not right nor called. But, I felt sick inside once the ceremony started. I left, got some air and returned inside, where I felt sick again, so I stayed outside waiting for my friend. I love the dances, costumes and people, but I won't enter the religion. Many of my friends here are candomblistas, tell me to find my Orixá, but I just smile and say no thank you. To each his own.
