Congratulations mate! Fun fact: I'm here (as one of the many, presumably) because of your appearances on BEFRS. And Sonny is an absolute legend. He always reminds me of a combination of Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern. You remind me more of sort of a combination between an anthropologist and Sonny, which I also dig. I love the more in-depth analyses you do in your vids. I watch every single vid that drops either here or on BEFRS :)

DUDE!!! CONGRATS ON 100+K SUBS!!! i really like your style of content. Similar to Sonny's yet different. I feel like the rawness of your videos is what kept me interested in watching your channel. I think you have a bit more serious side and how you also show the strenuous process of achieving your content goal. As a southeast Asian myself(Filipino), I do enjoy the places you go to in that region and showing me places I've never been in my home country. I've never even had pagpag.

Hey Andrew. Amazing work and congrats on the 100K, and onwards to a lot more! I will say what I love about your channel is the cinematography and your in-depth documentary style of take on the food. Your videos always have these amazing shots that are breathtaking and makes me watch to visit the location and getting to know the detailed history and story behind the food adds so much value than the typical, "Oh hey. Come here. Eat this. It's tasty." Keep the contents coming, I can't get enough.

I think the one thing you got lucky with is the southern Philippines. Yes you made it through filming safe but it is still a fairly large gamble to go there. I’ve actually lost a friend that was kidnapped in that region. He was kidnapped in the middle of the night. So I think it is very careless of you to say it is safe for anyone to go there

Pretty much all polynesians joke about Tongans eating horse. We do. lol But, it is kind of an ongoing joke. If you ever make it to that side of the world, you should try "loi hoosi". It's horse meat, but its actually really yummy, so it won't be too hard I think. And, the culture is cool. You could also drink some Kava while there. Keep up the great work, sir.

There is a clear difference between Sonny and your food review styles and videos: He is more focused on everyday foods while you are focused on strange and exotic foods. He is more humorous in his video while you are serious. Because his review videos are on the topic of daily street and restaurant foods, he can reach out to more viewers who can relate to his topic of interest while there is only a small group of viewers who are adventuring enough to be interested in strange and exotic food.

If you're going to eat cats and dogs try Switzerland . They'll probably make it look more desirable. Because it is European. If you don't believe me they have a youtube video on a fancy restaurant in Switzerland. Other European use to eat cats and dogs too . Some stop doing it. 😊😊
@yapaul62267 ай бұрын
Bro Im a huge fan of you! The way you can stand out is eat anything the cultures eat. If they eat dogs, eagles, etc, I say eat it and educate the west. The dogs we eat back in Laos was wild dogs similar to coyotes. We dont eat domesticated dogs. If you can eat beef bile or grass stomach poop, you can definitely stomach a dog. People in the west needs to know that people in India frown upon the west eating cows. If it’s acceptable to eat cows in the state, but not in other countries and its considered taboo, then there is no difference. Please educate the west about other cultures foods. If eating Bears, gators, roadkills or rotten meats etc, then its no difference. Lets embrace the culture. We eat mountain lions. You will need to go to the jungle of Laos, Cambodia or Vietnam for these kind of foods. Show all the taboo food that is frowned upon in the west. That will be your niche! Trust me
