@@svenjorgensenn8418 correct, but state budgets are assigned by the federal government, and the state assigns the budget to its different sectors and as much as they’d like to keep everything well funded, it isn’t just every highway the state has to maintain, but every single public road, which is why development projects often allow for the construction of new roads, which the residents pay for, the state is nearly forced to outsource the maintenance of most roads to third parties because local governments can barely do it, state governments are underfunded and federal government is dealing with other things, so we end up footing the bill

This sounds like a crime at federal level. IANAL. You should call the proper authorities (FBI?) and file an official complaint. I think the US constitution clearly state that citizen are “entitled to be judged by their pairs”. That’s jury trial.

No they’d rather reduce the number of lanes on the roads we’ve already paid for and replace them with ridiculously overpriced toll lanes so that traffic jams increase and frustrate people so much that they’re forced onto the toll lanes because they’re evil.
