The light nicely highlighted the stupid overtake at 6:54

Great video. I have the Trace and TraceR set, perfect lights to be seen. No issues and well built. From this video I’ll either go for the mk15 or the mk10rs. Still undecided!

I like Lupine STVZO lights. They put the beam where you need it. I like the Exposure ones as well. Very nice design and convenient in the way they operate. My two favourite brands.

Just started looking at good bike lights for evening rides in back woods in twilight and dark so this came up just right. The garden tests said it all the best turned night to nearly day. Can the best one change high and low beam on the fly? Sorry if missed it in video.
@AAUK4 жыл бұрын
No, you have to press the button on the back of the light. There are some that allow a remote (I bought the remote and then realised that mine didn't! 🤣)

@@AAUK yes actually meant on the light its self so thanks.... To warrant the price I could use it for weight Training sessions in a dark unlit carport as well 😁😁

ONE THING TO MENTION ABOUT EXPOSURE LIGHTS IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE. RECENTLY HAD A 12 YEAR OLD LIGHT REPAIRED FREE OF CHARGE, NO QUESTIONS! AND THEY ARE UK MADE. ALSO - BUY QUALITY, BUY ONCE!

Can you charge these while in use? I've searched around for so long and _no one_ else seems to be wondering the same thing. Got a £60 Lezyne 1300xxl which lasts like 4 hours at 800 lumens, or 8 at 400 lumens, and can't charge while in use, but that's forgivable given the price
@AAUK3 жыл бұрын
I guess they last so long, no-one wants to charge in use? I wouldn't think you can as they charge from a plug, not a USB...?
@mintymilkk3 жыл бұрын
@@AAUK they do charge from a usb, that's one of the cables included. It'd be silly if it didn't charge via usb, it's just a different power transfer rate

@@mintymilkk Fair point, sorry, I've not charged mine for a good few months. Mine charge from a plug, but maybe there was a USB cable in the box then?

@@mintymilkk why you don't buy the Lezyne Super Drive 1600xxl? I think is better for the Bluetooh Connectivity...

@@AAUK Mine only came with a socket plug charger. I'd have to buy the usb cable separately. I got mine 3 years ago. I don't know if they are know providing a usb cable as standard?

Exposure makes great lights, sadly this is reflected in the price but you do get what you pay for. I use the Trace and TraceR set for daytime riding on the road. They are very good lights and really do make you stand out, which is exactly what you want from them. For road riding, you don't really need the helmet light. Off-road though when you have narrow paths and are going around corners you need to look around them which is where the helmet light comes into its own. You have the perfect setup for offroad riding here with these two lights. I'd imagine you could get away with the Axis on your handlebars for standard road riding as its more directional so focused on the road ahead, which helps highlight potholes and also doesn't dazzle oncoming road users. Any update to your block of cheese issue?

I have the Exposure Strada light. It's awesome for my commute on Irish country back roads, it's road specific beam is wide & very good, when coupled with their 8.7amp support cell it lasts a long time. I commute at night time after midnight alot. Exposure have 2 types of lights. Road & Mtb. Sorry to say Andy but your light is a Mtb light and has a narrower 'searchlight ' beam. Their Mtb range goes up to & beyond 4,000 lumens. Strada is 1500 lumens. But because it's road specific it lights up the entire width of the road.
@AAUK3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure which light you're referring too, but I like that one illuminates very wide and the other on my helmet is very specific...
@joecondron21313 жыл бұрын
@@AAUK The Race Mk 15 is a downhill Mtb light which has a 'searchlight' beam. My road focused Strada model, has a wider beam,, & good distance! I had to clarify this misunderstanding with Exposure 3 yrs ago when I wanted a light that I could depend on.

Small exposure lights are the best...the larger lights are not. The Light and Motion Seca light gives a much less snow brightness affect and is so much easier on the eye. The spread of light is also far superior to the Exposure lights. Down side is it has a cable and separate battery. On another note why do you feel the need to have a helmet light on the road?
@AAUK3 жыл бұрын
The helmet light was so I had something more directional. e.g. If i hear something in a field I'm cycling past, when I look over, it's illuminated.

I use exposure for commuting cross country, second to none.
