I bought a blaze mk3 after watching your video and I am really pleased with this rear light. I use it for daytime comuttes, I now feel safer cycling on busy roads. Thanks for your tips very informative.

I just bought a cheap 3 red led chineese ligth which usually uses 3x 'aaa' and feed it with an almost eternal source : a single 18650 battery . The 4.2 peak voltage is very well digested by these cheap lights , I thought it will burn after 2 years of use night & DAY : no problem. It's very rare that I have to recharged them and they are very bright and useful even on the day . No need to have something sophisticated like garmin with a rear radar , I leave them always on .

Great review, is there a way to mount this light on a seat bag? Did you also say it comes with NO charger
@Tellvia

Hi Dennis, thank you for your comment. The Blaze Mk3 light is designed to be mounted on the seat post only for best directionality of the light towards other road users behind you. I think it will be difficult to find a way to mount it on a saddle bag and still get the proper alignment of the light. Yes, the light does not include a charger but does include a USB-A cable that will work with many third party charges or even outlet multiplies that often come with USB-A charging ports. I hope this helps. Best, George

Thank you for watching and congrats with your new tail light! It probably won’t be a surprise that I use Exposure front light on my bike as well. I showed it in my video - it is Sirius model and I think it is still marketed by Exposure Lights. Perhaps they have a newer version of this light. My Sirius model is about 14-15 years old and still work great. I use it as my daylight in bright flash mode and it’s battery capacity is still very good. Happy riding. Cheers!

Can you review the exposure light link plus mk2 front and rear and also Strada MK10 road sport front light please

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I don’t own the combo or Strada MK10 lights to be able to review them. I do use an Exposure Sirius front light, which I highly recommend. Best, George.

@@Tellvia It's OK. I just bought the Strada MK10 Super Bright Front Light and Link Plus MK2 Front/Rear Daybreaker combo. I have the see sonic icon rear light (previous gen).

Isn't the only diff between the MK2 and MK3 the Peloton mode?. So since you state you will never use that, why not get the MK2?

Thank you for watching and commenting, HCF! The Mk 3 light has ReAct mode in which is changes brightness and flash pattern when braking. This is a useful safety feature for visibility in traffic when braking. My riding bodies commented that it helpful to see that I am braking when I am in front of them. Unfortunately my Mk3 light was lost on one of the rides. It got unclipped from the plastic holder ringing on a rough surface. To replace it I bought a Lupine Rotlight Max and am very happy with it. It has similar to ReAct mode change in in light intensity when braking and it is brighter than Exposure Mk 3 light. I hope this is helpful. Cheers!

@@joecondron2131 I agree, had used it faithfully as my go to light, water ingress is an issue, but honestly doesn't compare next to niteflux redzone 8..

Typical Exposure, fantastic product ket down by mounting options, You say seat post mounting only by a rubber strap, I wouldn't trust that. Can't be mounted vertically to a rack either. or a saddlebag. I have their awesome Strada front light, But it can only mounted onto handlebars . They don't do a fork crown mount. You can't use it with a bar bag.

Hi Joe, thank you for the comment. I understand your concern about the rubber bands and I've used two rubber bends to hold the light for years. Now, almost 8 year later I still use the original Exposure Lights rubber band and it is intact and works well. It is made from a very strong silicone material. Test the strength of the Exposure rubber band by overstitching it, you might be convinced that it is strong enough. Cheers.

@@Tellvia yes agreed, but my Strada light came with a dip switch that can be strapped to bars, it snapped. But my original comment about their incredible lights let down by mounting options still stands. I use a Bontrager Flare r tail light, simply put its incredible, it also comes with a rubber band - but you can get proper seat post mountings, which you can also attach the light to seat stays, they also do a clip which you can mount the light onto a tail pack/saddlebag.
