I enjoyed the episode. I like how you implement how not all locomotives are created equal. It totally makes sense why Boco, Emily, Donald, Douglas, and Edward were not meant for the type of express that Gordon pulled, it sucked that the other engines failed but shows what they weren't meant for. I hope Gordon gets the express back, and I'm pretty sure he wants to, but doesn't want to go back because of his brother and I think he's afraid that will happen again.

I KNEW Gordon's decision to retire was a bit rash. It's because he feels unworthy for the Express! (Scott, you jerk!!) That explains why he reacted so drastically. Gordon's ego is large- but fragile. When Scott gave his very worthless two cents, Gordon's self-esteem tanked so badly that his personality did a complete 360, and he decided the only solution is never pull the Express again- the job he loves (and was BUILT TO DO). I hope in the next episode Gordon rediscovers the healthy pride he has with the Express and finds balance with his self-image. (And I hope Scott either turns himself around or gets what's coming to him...)

He retired. A lot of the engines are getting on with Murdoch being the last built so the ideal choice steam wise. But I reckon modern express requires a mainline Diesel.

That was a good story, and I did not expect to see Boco coming back! Did someone see my comment about Boco? I will admit Boco, Donald and Douglas and Emily got good roles in in this story. One of the greatest scenes is when we see Edward pulling the express and that was a highlight. I can see Sir Topham Hatt wants Gordon to come back to pull the express and now he has a lot to think about. Would he come back and pull the express or would another engine do it?

Wow, first Percy takes the plunge, and then Henry!? What are the odds? Plus, I’ve seen a couple of goofs in this episode with Nia’s buffer at 5:04 and a slight camera edit at 6:57. Also, I would love to see Gordon coming back to pull the express again, and who cares what Flying Scotsman said about him before! Don’t get me wrong, Gordon does have a better attitude now doing other jobs on the railway besides pulling the express, and that he’s no longer pompous and complaining about pulling goods trains. But pulling the express around Sodor was Gordon’s purpose and main role throughout the original Thomas series, and that’s what made him important from the very start. Wouldn’t you agree? I can’t wait for the season finale of Thomas & Friends: Continued, keep up the good work Nino! 😉👍🚂🚃🚃🛤

I just felt like that moment when Thomas, Emily, Donald/Douglas and Bill/Ben were talking about who would pull the Express, Donald/Douglas being there reminded me of The Flying Scots by The Buried Truck where after James gets trapped in a siding by Henry coming of the rails and Gordon recommends to The Fat Controller that Donald and Douglas pull the Express. If that was intentional, good job. If it wasn't, still good job. I've been enjoying the series so far, but I'm a bit disappointed that in the next episode, it's ending. Maybe we could get a Season 2 if the final episode gets enough likes?

I wish we see him getting rebuilt into A3 or experimented with something that drastically improved his performance. It’s true as the Scotsman said that Gordon was a prototype for A1 hence his inferior performance to A3 but being a prototype also means that he could be upgraded as prototypes like him were intended to be a test bed for a new technology.

I’m kinda wonder, why The Fat Controller didn’t made Rebecca the main express engine? I mean the SR West Country/Battle of Britain class were also an express engine right? They even have more tractive efforts (31,000 lbf) than Gresley A1 (29,835 lbf) and a tad more than earlier A3(30,362 lbf) with a comparable service speed.

Well, Nino, after watching today's video as we approach the end of Season 1 for your Thomas series, this was another great episode you put together and the story was pretty good as well with it revolving around different engines trying to pull the Express after Henry has an accident at Brendam Docks, but all the engines have issues, starting with Boco's engine not being suitable for the Express to Donald and Douglas almost crashing into Rebecca's train and Emily going off the rails and at the end of the day, when Sir Topham Hatt runs into Gordon, he reminds Gordon that he is special because he's the only engine capable of pulling the Express better than anyone and when he asks Gordon if he wants to pull it again, Gordon declines the offer, but after Sir Topham Hatt leaves, Gordon starts thinking about pulling the Express. Also, it was great to see Boco appear, which is something I wish the CGI series did, but do you know if you would be up for doing an episode with Molly in your series? And before I forget, could we see Rebecca share the Express with Gordon? All-in-all, in the end, bud, this was another great video you put together and I look forward to seeing what you have planned for the season finale, so until then, let me hear what you have to say on my questions and keep up the great work!

Amazing how the Fat Controller chose the engines to pull the Express in Gordon's absence. I felt sorry for Boco, and unimpressed with Donald and Douglas for their mistake. I was proud of Emily, but was then shocked at what happened next. I didn't expect that. I hope Gordon comes back to the Express soon. Henry's crash reminded me of 'Something In The Air'.
