Hello, sweet soul! I have two versions of a stunning, ruffly crochet pattern to share with you today. Crochet an elegant shawl or a draping scarf. The choice is yours! The Adorn shawl is an airy, lacy design that features optional beading, beautiful drape, and a frilly, romantic edge. In this video, I demonstrate how to work the stitches and crochet this pattern from beginning to end.
Download Adorn at www.expression...
Did you know most of our patterns are free for a limited time? Just sign up for email updates at www.expression... and you'll get notified when the next one goes live.
Both versions of Adorn were made with our gorgeous Alpaca Silk Lace yarn, which is a heavenly, dreamy blend of 50% Baby Alpaca and 50% Mulberry Silk that’s warm and soft with an incredible drape and a shimmery glow. Hand-dyed in radiant, dazzling shades and wonderful for cozy wraps, soft sweaters, and treasured accessories. 604 yds/552 m per skein.
Shop all of our Alpaca Silk Lace yarn at www.expression...
The shawl sample shown here used our Reticent Hues Alpaca Silk Lace kit and used approximately 1680 yds (1536 m) total (one skein each of three colors). The scarf sample shown here used approximately 789 yds (721 m) total and was made with colors A) Elegy and B) Pink Pearl Alpaca Silk Lace. You’ll need one skein of Color A and one skein of Color B for the scarf.
I hope you have the most amazing day today! You're so deserving and worthy of beautiful things! Sign up for email updates to receive more knit and crochet patterns. We aim for one a week, and most are free for a limited time only. You'll also get coupon codes and be among the first to hear about new limited yarns! XOXO

Of course you had to present a shawl that is telling me to stop everything and make this shawl. NOW! I've made the Roswen shawl for a friend and I have the Etude 2 shawl and Midnight Grove still waiting in my drawer to make. I think I'll use the Devoted kit for this shawl as I just want to make 1 Rainier for a different friend and I keep messing up the rounds and I need to take a break. The fog is clearing and it looks like a great day to crochet outside wrapped in my Dashael shawl and Peacock with the Blurr collection. I planned on reorganizing my stamp room, but...Adorn is calling my name!!! Thank you once again for making this world beautiful! Love and hugs!!!

I have not tried lace weight yarn for any projects yet. But all of your yarns are amazing to work with! I can knit like a fiend, and I am wanting SO MUCH to learn to crochet! In watching this video, I think I can do it! I may just end up with a small scarf, but at least it could be something! Being left handed makes me wish I could watch your crochet videos reversed! (I knit right handed)

This patterns is simply beautiful. Of course that light, airy alpaca silk yarn adds to the beauty of it! I am currently working with your lace weight 50/50 yak/silk yarn kit in Dark Academia Hues colorway, making another shawl. I absolutely love the delicacy of it! I do think I prefer the alpaca over the yak, but it it is a tough choice. Lace weight yarn: love, Love, LOVE it! The end results are always so soft, feminine, and full of puddly drape!

I love finding extra uses for lace weight yarn. It’s great to add colour by adding it to a heavier yarn and working with as many strands together as you need for your project. I tend to use no more than 2 extra yarns but there’s always a time. For example if you’re using scrap yarn and want to maintain a consistent weight of your yarn. I think I’m just trying to say it’s super useful 😂🧶 ❤🐾

I love lace-weight yarn! I live in Central Florida where it can be 90 degrees outside and 65 air-conditioned degrees inside. I love making a shawl that scrunches up in a bag and then blossoms into a layer to take off the chill. Alpaca is non-allergenic, which gives it an extra star in my book. And the pattern - yummy and feminine and sensuous. The beginning chain, once learned, is perfect for every single “chain x stitches” because your chain won’t be tighter than your next row (and you’ll be one row ahead).
