Hi Sara, I LOVE this painting. The circle / mandala has many symbols as we know. For one example, a circle is a symbol of perfection in the spiritual realm of alchemy andd sacred geometry. Jung viewed Circles as a center of wholeness and highly benificial to one's own developement. It was poignant when you said " you saw this shape in other art work and it stuck with you and came out in your art" because that is the epitome what an Archetype is. They are pre-conscious psychic dispositions allowing humans to react in a human manner as they form the substrate (canvas) from which the basic themes of human life emerge) like you mentioned. We see things in life and some stay with us and later in some way they emerge out of us onto a painting and we recognize something even if we don't yet know what it is - the archetype has our attention and we can ponder why we like it or don't and why. And then the painting can unfold like a tarot card now taking one on a journey. It can be so much fun and impart back so much knowledge and information. Your painting here can be called an Archrtypal painting It's said that archetypes serve to organize, direct and inform human thought and behavior. It is said the Circle symbol tends to chart the course of one's own indivuidation process". Your painting could be like a tarot card in symbolisn speaking to you. Then if curious people can look up what they see in the composition, colors, drips, layers everything and see how it speaks to them. I love the drips. It is an awesome painting for sure. And we all like and dislike things and that's the beauty of Art. Thank you for sharing this with us since you weren't sure about it. 🤔🤗🎨🎶💃💜 isn't the artists journey always trying new ideas. Rock On!

You eloquently explained why I feel pulled toward this piece. Thanks for putting this in words.

Lucy, wow! This is incredible. I feel like you just unfolded the whole mystery behind what happened here and how things happened at the very root of the creative being. I never thought of this in an archetype way, but you are exactly right. I have a close friend I want to show this and she can probably help guide me through some of the meaning behind it. Thank you for taking the time to articulate this, it really means a lot to me.😌❤️

@@SaraTaylor that's awesome. I was sensitive to if I should send it, but I knew you had just voiced the archetype and I wanted to share with you the sacredness of that serendipitous moment. They dont happen so often but they do open our eyes and inner ear to hear a soul message if we are aware. That's why this painting is really cool. so cool Sara!

😂 paint a bold black circle in the middle of a painting. Don’t make every painting comfortable. Piss some people off, don’t get comfortable with yourself. You’re growing as an artist, don’t stop. Go forward shaking your fist. 200 years from now they’ll still be talking about you ❤

I LOVE IT!! It touched me and reminds me of the roads of life. Sometimes things run forward in a line and even running around corners. That even in dark tangled roads there is a lovely splash of color. Beautiful vibrant color, as life it's self splashes on us in our own journey. Sara, well done! I don't comment often enough I simply love this!!

Forgot to say the circle completed with splash of color simply implies what we all must do in life. Rinse and repeat.
