Expressive Art Warm-Up with Dramatic Results

Very interesting exercice. I looks like Chinese calligraphy. Funny thing, I prefer the first position almost the all the time versus when you turn your drawing 😀 Thank you for the discovery of this artist. Merci 😀

I agree Loulou it does look like Chinese calligraphy. I hadn't thought of that at the time I was making the video. For me, I liked the simplicity of making a few marks on paper since I tend to work in layers with lots of texture. This was a new approach which was quick and easy.

Yes, you are right Maria--it does have that Chinese calligraphy look. I hadn't thought of that.

Hi, does deli paper have wax on ?

Karina, the deli paper that I use has a lightly waxy surface on one side. I have had great results using it in collage.

Your dots don't have to be on a straight line, try an angle or sporadic places

Patricia, you might find it helpful to increase the playback speed if the video feels too long or is moving too slowly--I do that all the time. You could also mute the sound if you don't want to hear me talking.
