I don't know if anyone mentioned this in the comments already, but an important tip to pulling tape - never pull straight up off the paper. Always pull at an angle, slowly, away from the painted image. Use your other hand to hold the paper down in case any ripping starts to happen (in the grid, alternate pulling side to side). Also, if you are using very sticky tape, such as masking, before attaching it to the paper, take some of the stick out by pressing it to some clothing you are wearing so that the fibers take some of the "stick" out.

@pamhemmerling12 күн бұрын
Hi Diane, I agree at times it can be difficult and frustrating to share our art but I do think the benefits outweigh the negatives. For me it is fun to encourage others to be creative and share what I am working on--when I lose sight of that is when I have a problem. My technology skills aren't that great either but I keep at it trying to learn and improve as I go along. Many of my videos have poor editing, poor lighting, poor audio but I'm just a regular person (with no training) so I do the best I can. All I can say is don't give up! If I can do it--so can you!

Love how u do things. You have a kind of sassy delivery which I like. You have the confidence to laugh at yourself and a genuine love for your subject.This confident presentation makes you a natural for this media age.. I also admire your palette restraint. well before u said it during the vid I thought halve the number of appearances. Do wot. U want. Maybe review your inspiration sources, books u have, landscape elements u like, palette changes. New camera angles sure, but it all has to be easy for u to do.i thinka large number of blogs, vlogs etc are seeing lower readings. It is not just u. Personally I have an idea from doing a blog 2norv3 times a week some years ago the immense amount of work involved. Half the vids would b more liveable for u. Hope this helps. But not to have your smiling bubbles presence on you tube at all would be a loss. Best r

Hi Pam. I like your videos. they are great. The thing I dislike the most of other youtubers is when they use too many cameras, cutting here and there, moving/hand held cameras and those that edit what they say so much it is jarring. I like your one take discussion/speech. it is honest. And just before you mentioned it I was thinking your exact next thing. I would like to see how you go from doing ideas, sketches prep work to the big canvas. I have so many sketches and just too scared what is needed to go BIG! scared of wasting my precious expensive art materials on a large scale work. I have tried it a few times and it just does not come out the same or right. I do not know what I am doing wrong. It looked fantastic in my sketch book but then to big canvas I could not get the same look. would love to see how you transition small sketch to large artwork, what to do to make it right. thank you for all your insight and have a great and safe holiday

I appreciate your feedback and thoughts about the video process. It is really helpful as I move forward into this next year. Of course, for me it is easier to keep things fairly simple--one camera and not overly rehearsed. In that regard, I can just share what I am working on or something I have discovered. On another note, I totally know what you mean about working large--it is completely different and requires more materials and larger tools. The fear of wasting paint is real for all of us but so valuable in order to create on a larger scale. I will definitely add that to my list of video ideas. Thanks again for taking the time to share!

Dear Pam, I always appreciate each of your videos, I tend to call them my ‚feel good‘ sort of videos. In comparison to other KZbinrs I always feel like you are very authentic and you enjoy what you share with us. If you want to hear some topic I would absolutely love to see from your side, that would be an introduction in painting portraits and staying same way relaxed like when you do some abstrakt painting. Not sure if I‘m explaining well: like a how-to-start painting portraits in an easy, effortlessly way, without beeing afraid of doing itmthe wrong way. So, portraits for beginners and/or people who think they can only do actracts 😂. But anyhow, whatever will bring you joy is appreciated and will be of much Inspiration for me, that‘s for sure. Big thank you ❤️ and greetings - don‘t be stressed about what people wanna see, stay just as you are 🙋♀️😎
