I‘ve heard they will release a free sound bank for the Osmose. I also enjoy my osmose ✌️🙂

Have you tried playing any sample instruments with it? Probably requires quite some patch programming to use the gestures, but there's an awesome UVI IRCAM2 demo video with the Osmose, that had me longing for sampled orchestral sounds with MPE support. Awesome demos on your end too, by the way!

Thanks! no I haven’t tried the editor or samples , will try Icram 2, plenty of good stock sounds and some not so good but overall I find very usable

Definitely a cool bit of kit, the Osmose. 😎👍🏼 Just wondering whether you still have your PRO 3 and Matrixbrute? Are they sufficiently different to warrant having both? What would you say are the strengths/weaknesses of each? Thanks! 🙏🏼

I do but thinking about selling pro 3 for Polybrute, I think the sequencing workflow is better, more efficient with the brute and it has real time recording vs key step input only on the pro 3, pro 3 can be more aggressive and has a very expressive range , depends on what your goals are in the studio , pro 3 is all over the board a lot of duplicate sounds across the banks and not organized by type, I like the matrix brute preset system better I can organize by the row

@@indiefilmcomposer Thanks for that. I’ve made some great sounds on a PRO 3 I’ve used, and heard great sounds from the Matrixbrute online, too. I’ve tried, but I can’t love the sound of the Polybrute - seems to tend towards the brighter side. I understand the PRO 3 does the same morphing thing that the Polybrute does? Have you tried hooking up your Osmose as an MPE controller to these two synths? I think they both respond to MPE?!

You demonstrate the potential of this keyboard but I am still thinking as you was thinking at first, I don’t have enough useable sounds for my needs, the Eagan matrix is not exploited at all, they should give easy bridge to what have been done for the haken, I heard very realistic strings and choirs, but there not so much, even very far from what I expect from a such wonderful keybed. You play nice but I feel these patch bring you only to slow motion, good for alaap . Wonderful keyboard but where are sounds that should come with it. I got much better sounds with animoog, ppg infinite, layers or Geoshred that have amazing emulated strings and bow., we need this keyboard but we do need sounds too!

thx - yes I find that the sounds are limited, but do cover from winds to strings, to plucked, and basic synth, the performance aspect is where it stands out compared to VST's with both hands able to add dynamics by each note ( finger ) in real time,

Which patches are you using in this demo? nice playing!

thanks, I was improvising and clicking through some saved presets, I think this included pad organ, Benny's territory, numen's strings, biquide harp, clavi chord ( the minor scale ) and analog scream - no need for the editor I just use the built in macros on the osmose to adjust ( filter cutoff most often if it is available if not I use EQ in DAW )
