Got mine on Friday. Absolutely blown away. As a keyboard player of nearly five decades, I suddenly feel I've been liberated in some way; gifted with an unexpected expressivity. If you're wondering about disabling the pitch bend for the lower notes to avoid accidental triggering... so far I've not found a way to do this for only one region of the keyboard - at least on the instrument itself. From what I have found out so far about the accompanying Eaganmatrix software, I think it should be possible to copy a patch and make a "non-bending" version, then create a split patch from the two of them. A bit fiddly, though. I really think there should be a split point option for pitch bend (and for pressure glide too). If I've missed anything, feel free to enlighten me!

I haven’t tried splits yet but that is a good call out because the bass lines may not want to bend along with upper register instruments , that was the odd thing with some demos the playing wasn’t realistic, wells that’s great other than my guitars I didn’t have a way to be this expressive in real time without key switching but that wouldn’t solve for dynamic performance , volume expression across your fingers all independent as I mentioned In the demo was my biggest takeaway and ability to perform articulations with one press of the finger which I will explore with next video 👍🎸

@@indiefilmcomposer You're spot on. The independent multi-axis control is wonderful. The pressure glide, in particular, is totally game-changing for slow, meditative stuff. I can imagine this would be perfect for a low-budget "world documentary" score, for example.

Nice demo! I’ve been similarly intrigued by the concept, but largely unimpressed with how most people on KZbin use it. This gives me a much better idea of the possibilities. Thanks! Lovely work.

tank you im thinking to buy it, seen alot of stuff but really enjoy the drone and pads i come from the guitar too, wondering if the osmose can reproduce more realistic piano sounds?? will be the best of twoo worlds really enjoyed your vídeo 👽🏅

thanks, I think great for drones and pads, it has an electric piano pre-set bank but I don't think a lot of acoustic piano and straight forward grand style, but I will check this and circle back

Ok Osmose has ep and keys presets but no realistic piano sounds, a few eps sound like eps but with the deep key action it’s not really designed for fast notes, more legato oriented or marcato, but those are interesting sounds though , ambient and expressive , but will not cover acoustic piano

I got one recently and I love it ❤ I’m a multi instrument player specializing on keyboard. One thing missing is transposing semicolons, so you are stuck in the key of C. Your demo sounds amazing. Thanks for sharing. :-)

Wonderful music - reminds me a little bit of the german group Popul Vuhs filmmusic from the 1970:s. Like the music to Werner Herzogs Nosferatu.

Thanks I improvised in a few keys and ended up with more of a droning approach which this instrument is great for

I wanted to like the Osmose since I first heard about it 2 years ago. And not a single demo showed me anything but terrible use of the instrument. So I assume, it's the instrument's fault. But I guess if so far you thought, if only every of my keys had an integrated pitch/bend wheel so I can use it ALL THE TIME, the Osmose is for you.

Can it integrate with daws and can I play things other genres of music on it?
@indiefilmcomposer11 ай бұрын
It integrates with Midi and TRS stereo - I don't use the complex haken editor I don't find it necessary, yes I think this could apply toward any genre
