We totally agree with that visual - there is a lot of torque that you create in the backswing that helps move the pelvis and spine properly to deal with all the forces happening at impact. Properly winding up will keep you on balance through impact. You see great balance of forces as manifest with a stable spine at impact on just about any great player.

So if I'm understanding this right the hips are flexed at impact and rotating then they don't stop flexing until they naturally extend after impact? Or are you saying that the hip should extend at impact? I'm trying to understand if that impact would technically be early too early
