He is what you've known as a classic number 9 forward, like Van Basten or Ronaldo, for example. It's rare to see such player nowadays, since Lewandowski is more of a striker than a complete forward. Álvarez is a great second forward/striker for a coletive palying style. He can open defenses like last game. Haaland was contained by 3 CB, when Julián came in took 1 of them, and Haaland then stayed with 2, which he could handled them better!

@@gringopablo this! I keep telling my friends that they could totally play together. at River Plate Julian played all across the front line and had tons of assists. he is such a team player. Kdb and Bernardo and the other midfielders will get scoring chances if they link with him and use the space he creates for them.

Mahrez is better in more open and more expansive games. In these tight games with no space he's not as effective. In these games you need a right footer on RW to help speed up delivery into the box

The last one was incredible. He had two defenders on him, turned his back to one of them and still kept his crazy pace. On top of that he knocked him out and found the space to finish in the corner. Beautiful. A masterclass.
