I’m 59 years old and my great niece introduced me to Billie by way of the Bellyache video when it came out. I had heard Ocean Eyes, but didn’t pay much attention to it or who sang it so Bellyache was my starting point and I haven’t stopped since. This last album was an absolute masterpiece. It’s all I listened to over this summer. Every song is different and her voice and the music just take me somewhere else. U just keep doing u Billie because I’m enjoying watching your music evolve and u evolve.

Billie’s way of expressing herself is remarkable-her intelligence, introspection, and authenticity shine through effortlessly. As someone close to her age, I found her reflections on the challenges she faces and the lessons she’s learning incredibly relatable. She comes across as a kind-hearted and authentic person, which perfectly explains why so many people look up to her. It feels like we’re witnessing the start of a beautiful journey of self-discovery for her. The voice lessons were almost immediately noticeable. I remember months before hit me hard and soft was released and listening to her sing her older songs in concerts and it moved me so much. I noticed how she had started using different techniques and kind of playing with the way she sung her own songs. It sounded like her voice wasn't just a voice anymore but an instrument. I was also convinced she would use those techniques in her new album and I was right haha. Also it's pretty inspiring to see someone as big and famous as her never had taken voice lessons up until 2 years ago and then developing her voice even further even though she already had a career

I’ve been watching Billie interviews since 2017 and this might be my favorite one. The odd thing about Billie (to me) is that I've never thought of her as "articulate", or even a person with a strong vocabulary; yet, she manages to communicate complex human experiences quite eloquently and has a level of self awareness at 22 that I feel I lack at 56. She is always polite and humble. When she has a bad interviewer, I've seen her get bored... but when she has a strong interviewer (like this guy), she comes up with the coolest observations in such a plain spoken manner.
