4:00 Bro I’ve had this complaint since vanilla P5. I thought it was weird and unrealistic how quick she went from a social hermit crab to shit talking people.
@liamclarke913 жыл бұрын
I suppose she's fine with the inner circle. Large groups of strangers, or even her angry dad, cause her to freak out.
@checkmate37353 жыл бұрын
It’s not too bad since she’s mostly with her friends and all the shit talking she does to the shadows is something she does in her UFO. It’s easier to shout behind a screen rather than confront someone face-to-face, kinda like someone who spends their lives on the internet....much like Futaba.

She had a change of heart. If you have an issue with her changing in a week, then I hope you have the same issue with murderers confessing their crimes the next day. Why does this even have to be pointed out?
@aboi95963 жыл бұрын
@@PathBeyondTheDark Bro what kinda comparison??? How do you correlate real life killers that confess to their crimes, most likely due to the fact there's a high ass chance they WILL get convicted if they confess or not to some bad paced anime video game character. Do you really think most killers confess due to some guilt or a change of heart instead of getting a lighter sentence? also If you actually had social anxiety, you would know damn well that it doesn't take only a WEEK for that to drastically change like futuba did, even with a change of heart.

I kinda disagree with your point about Alice 8:42 Alice not just get bullied and become evil... she has moved on from that when she discovers fashion it's the bully that shows up and brings her past up to ruin her life that makes her becomes evil, starts with small revenge and because nobody stops her, she continues to abuse that power I don't think it's fair to compare her with the PT because she was alone meanwhile the PT has each other 8:55 that is the point, being bullied doesn't justify her action and she needs to be stopped, it's understandable but never justifiable

Yeesh. A lot of inconsistencies in the game, huh? Great video though. I was immediately suspicious of Ichinose when she had almost no reaction to Sophia. And Wow. You perfectly summed up my feelings on the Kyoto bath scene. Never found the bit funny, myself. Not in 3, 4 or golden where it was somewhat warranted, and definitely not in strikers where its basically just for a reference. I don't like it in general. One cool thing I noticed is Jokers persona selection in strikers. Lavenza said something along the lines of his original power of the wild card being lost. Which I think is a cool in-universe reason why he can't summon Satanael or a good chunk of the personas he had from 5/Royal.

One thing about the Jails been so similar to Palaces is that it is intentional, as the first are copies of the second, developed by Tokusatsu Tony Stark when Shido was still in power and had the Palaces' running. This is also why the Jails appeared after P5, as Toku--Tony didn't wanted Shido to learn of them and get even more power. Also I like to think that, learning what happened with Sumire in P5R, the newcomers (Sophia and Zenkichi) have their character development from the get go to avoid a repeat of Royal.

If my biggest complaints about Persona 5 spin-offs in general is that some characters are left behind story-wise, and that's partly due to how their prescribed roles in a "heist team" are almost always downplayed. For example, wouldn't it be cool if Haru and Joker attended a high society black tie event, with her taking the lead? Or have Skull's role as the muscle and Makoto's role as the analyst shine in an interrogation scene, ala good cop and bad cop, but spin it on its head by Makoto overdoing it by cutting Ryuji off? That would be hilarious. Even Ann's con artistry could have been used in the first arc: maybe bring back her bad acting or subvert the expectations by having her do really well with that.

I could see that antagonist right away in the game but I have to agree. There were some inconsistencies with the story but enjoyable nonetheless. Still give this game a 8/10 and would play again someday

Really solid video. I found the overall game experience pretty fun and really liked seeing the characters from P5 have a new adventure. That said, the story itself is trope after trope, the real bad guy is pretty obvious from the moment you meet her, and the whole game just gets kinda ridiculous at the end. In the end though, this is pretty much exactly what we should expect to get from a Persona game at this point.

I have not seen anyone refer to how flanderized Yusuke was in this game outside his mini arc in the second jail. Literally 90% of his dialog was him just fawning over every little thing he could potentially use for inspiration and/or just plain being nonsensical. That was a part of his character, yes, but he didnt just fawn over anything or everything and he certainly wasn't nearly as socially inept even if still a bit awkward. He is worse then Futaba in the original here. Other then that, imo the characters had their moments of flanderization but nothing too egregious. I think Morgana is second worst with how much the "cat" joke is brought up and the fact he is still upset about it despite both Vanilla and Royal heavily implying he has moved on from it. Ryuji is also a bit dumber here, his moments of stupidity occur far more often then in the original with only perhaps two instances of him being clever, whereas it was mostly balanced in the original between dumb and clever. Makoto is probably the best written character here. Aside from the questionable being scared of "ghosts" despite that completely disregarding the context of which what it is referencing happened, she feels completely natural (though, yes, that horrid bath scene takes a machete to all the characters). Haru is a close second, and is so delightful to see her get not just screentime but further development. By far the best joke was her driving, since its not a lazy call back or Japanese trope - its something new about her character we can laugh along with while appreciating knowing more about her. The story is... actually pretty good. Not fantastic, but good. They try rather hard to make it all fit within the already established rules of the original while expanding on concepts, even if there still some minor hiccups. I like the balance of slice - of - life scenes and plot, which to be frank i felt the original did not do well enough. That said, I think the general writing is better in P5 then this game, but still not bad by any means on a plot or thematic level. And of course... gameplay. I seem to be in the minority, but I am not a fan of it. It functions fine. But the gameplay loop is not my cup of tea to say the least. I absolutely despise enemies that require you to deplete a separate meter to stagger. But that is not the end of my issues, far from it. That would be tolerable if not for the fact I basically figured out a single strategy for mobs from the second jail on (Spam Dormin Rush + Sleep Boost and technical enhancing skills, which is effective even against those that resist physical since you break their stagger meters easily) and basically did not much else aside from the occasional use of a stronger phy skill. But the absolute nail in the coffin was how tanky bosses were. There is absolutely no reason for it from a design standpoint. It isnt matter of difficulty so much as just patience. Once you learn their attacks, which takes like a minute, it becomes a game of not getting bored before they die. I will never understand this design philosophy, that more HP = challenging. It just is not true. Its boring, it does not challenge your understanding of the fight or mechanics, just your sanity. And to steer back around to the spam issue, bosses are no different. Spam weakness/high Crit moves to stagger lock, use utem, rinse repeat. Its a horrendous loop as far as I am concerned. Ironically, my favorite fight was the mirror match with Joker. It is the one fight that challenges you to find a clear opening since you cant stagger lock him, and it isnt bogged down by other visual noise so you are able to do so. Overall the game is good and a worthy sequel. It is certainly better then the other spin offs. But there is still a ways to go for Atlus to bring the same quality to said spin offs. I would not mind something of equal quality (with a different battle system) but I do think they should continue to improve.

Yeah I'd say that's a good ranking. I'm personally a 7.5/10 tbh little disappointed with the story and it being only 25-40 hours depending if you took your time doing the quests or rushing through. Some of the later dungeons being too short was a bit disappointing as well. But it did its job at least.

Strikers storytelling I would give a five out of ten, gameplay, a five out of ten ,they really had way too many chances to resolve tons of plot points ! And make an actual follow up to persona 5 , for example what happened with all the confidants !? You know, the cool ones from five! Are they no longer friends/ confidant’s!? And Emma !? And the monarchs and the “ jails” are just cheap lazy ass versions of the app from p5 , the rulers and the castles, it’s just cheap !lazy ass writing , long story short, the story was garbage but the gameplay was ok I guess.

Cant say I understand preferring spamming the same skills over and over again in battles that sometimes last a life time because of how tanky bosses are, hoarding items cause on Hard you get nicked and die so the literal optimal strategy is to spam weaknesses/ailments and stun lock the enemy the whole fight while healing/replenishing SP. The only good fight in this game was the Joker mirror match because it actually tested your understanding of the opponent since you cant stun lock him but he also had CLEAR openings where you could stagger him without reducing an arbitrary shield. Not a fan of these games where enemies just tank everything and have no openings aside from a stagger meter.
