I just watched “ Another Man’s Woman “ live in London . Original lineup. A tour-de-Force performance….. highlighted by Ricks unbelievable piano solo, Roger with Wa Wa guitar , pulsing bass by Dougie , crazy horns by Helliwell and the always heavy Bob in the back . A terrific thing to cherish . Watching Rick is such a joy , his leg’s twitching away . Beauty 11 out 10 !!!🤪🤪🤪👍🏻🥰

Topsy, Part 3 :) (at 7:28 & 8:36) I love how they slipped a cover of Cozy Cole's Topsy into this as a riff. Very classy mixing jazz and house together in this way. Always enjoyed playing this in the club. So much better than the vocal version. And yes, this was the official instrumental remix, side B of the 12". SO TIGHT!

It's probably the first Piano House track ever; as it was released before House Music was "invented". But House Music it is, and a classic tune.
@hevyonez979 жыл бұрын
yes, it is!!
@mortisxx57129 жыл бұрын
I have to correct myself. The first Piano House tune must have been Imagination's 'Burnin' Up' from 1981 or so. Still, that Supertramp song still sounds fantastic.

I am not sure why, if they were going to extend the track, they did not add the piano solo from the live shows. It is probably my favourite piano solo and I am a Wakeman/Emerson fan. I liked Rick Davies and did not miss Hodgson (at least live) after he left the band.
