Using Photoshop, see how you can edit exterior photos in about 5 seconds, using just a single image. Pertinent links are below:

In another video, you mention that you always take exterior shots using bracketing. What is the use case for taking bracketed shots, and what is the use case for taking single image shots as shown in this video? Thanks!

Do you guys think my A7II would manage this? I'll give it a shot on my photo job today.

Probably will. You can always check DxoMark to see the SNR, which is key to this. Here's a link comparing it to the camera I used in this example, go to Measurements, then SNR: www.dxomark.com/Cameras/Compare/Side-by-side/Sony-A7-II-versus-Nikon-D610___996_915

Wonderful! Well done and helpful, just like 100% of your videos -- THANKS! I can't tell you how many times in the past few years I have had to decide scheduling a "binary CHOICE" between the FRONT of a home and and a gorgeous patio or deck in the rear due to time-of-day and the position of the Sun, let alone the very time consuming editing of the non-lit elevation of a home (I'm sure many photographers can identify with this quandary). THIS VIDEO IS SO HELPFUL in so many ways!

Nathan, would you be able to pull this off with a drone camera with 1” sensor?
@NathanCoolPhoto
@NathanCoolPhoto 2 жыл бұрын
Probably not, you can test it though by seeing how ISO-invariant the images are, which will clue you in as to the quality. Here's a video on that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGOknIikf7yhqs0

Is it really worth it to convert to tiff using manufactures software? It seems like RAW would give you much more latitude to edit in PS or Lightroom.
@NathanCoolPhoto
@NathanCoolPhoto 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is very much worth it in some circumstances. Proprietary information in RAW files by OEMs, including lighting optimizers and profiles, are discarded by third-party programs like Adobe since they don't know how to read or utilize those proprietary features; thus, the demosaicing process (decoding of a RAW file) can lose quality, and suffer from color shifts as well. Those features are in the RAW files, but discarded by programs like Adobe, yet utilized by OEM software. This is something I talk about throughout my REP series, which you can check out at amzn.to/39hpSS2 and you can also see a video on this at kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGfUfJyoqd5rf8U and also where those features are in RAW files in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5y8fnurarp7qNk

Could you make the last duplicated layer into a smart object so you could go back and make adjustments?
@NathanCoolPhoto
@NathanCoolPhoto 3 жыл бұрын
That's not something I'd recommend for this kind of work. If you are striving for speed in your workflow (which this addresses) then there is no need for smart objects...run the action, flatten, save, then tweak in LR with final adjustments if need-be. If you are doing higher end work, then actions like this may not be the proper approach, so that brings up a different workflow, like I show for luminosity masking in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGqsXomlfK-fZsU
