Third Option: I think if the black visible around the window was equal… meaning the center trim board must be wider… it would look great!

I love the trim between the black windows cream more than it being all black! BUTTTTT part of me thinks it should be even a little thicker so there is the same amount of black space on both sides of the window if that makes sense. It looks like there is about an inch of black on the outside of the windows, but then 3-4inches of black between the two. Idk if that makes sense. But I think it still looks fab too!! And I can’t see it from the street so idk what’s best lol you’re doing amazing 💕💕

Seeing as you made it a double window ..The Apex of the Topper seems to shrink away a little .. from the Distance in your photo . Of it .. maybe if you Added another piece to the apex piece itself ..it may appear bolder without being too dominant , not a criticism ,mearly a suggestion. ☺

Been watching every Sunday and I can’t wait to see how the house turns out in the end. I think you should try a wider board in between the double windows. No. Then that board is wider than the lighter trim boards around the window. Same situation, different color. It's perfect as is.
@chrisccain
@chrisccain 3 жыл бұрын
@@Edu_Kate yeah but the weight of the board in the middle should naturally be wider. The two on the outside are smaller so you have to find a balance in the middle. If those windows were on their own they would have the same thickness all the way around. But they mash up to one another in the middle so it should be wider. You have to look at the boarder around the inside of the window. The black boarder should be the same all the way around. Having the board wider in the middle is such a small detail, but it’s going to change the whole feel for the best. It should be wider.

I was happy you chose to separate the windows with the lighter coloured board but found it difficult to understand why you made it narrow. It made the Black frames not RIGHT? My eyes found it difficult to not look at it without thinking it was a patch job…both windows from a distance looked wrong because of the narrower black on the far sides? A wider middle board would make the black frames all symmetrical … yep I drive myself crazy with this nonsense …just ignore me…you’re brilliant!

In regard to trim color the new construction homes I just bought into are doing black windows, with a lighter siding and tan trim around windows and eves. It looks good with more difference in color, more like the Manchester Tan, it gives the house 3 dismissions. I don't think you will get the pop you want with the lighter trim. I was afraid of the darker trim and went with white because I was safe, take a chance and go darker.

I guessed right! Grey mist. I love catching all the remodels on Sunday and in the vlog. You are making great progress. Good thing we have the guest cottages to do when this is done as you are going so fast.

I completely agree with Maria. You are an amazing person and you take on everything!! It still amazes me that a lot of what you've done was with the help of KZbin videos!! I mean what!! MaCennajjst jumps in and attacks the problem and overcomes it all. You are such an inspiration to everyone that watches your channel.

I like it light in the middle. Makes it more clearly two windows and also would be super cute with wreaths during Christmas.

Watching you all these months made me change my way of thinking. Maybe I can do my house renovation by myself too. You inspire me in every way. You show us that women can do it too. Just go for it. 💪 Your energy, positivity and the fact that you are not afraid of taking a new task is contagious ,a lift up to my self confidence. You are so sweet. When this project you have taken upon you ends we all are going to be so wowed at the results. Waiting for your new video with great anticipation as always. Stay safe and take care you all.❤️

I think the white trim between the two windows looks awesome!! It totally captures the illusion you are trying to create. Btw, a little caulking hack, if you wet your finger with water and then smooth it out, you will be able to smooth it out easier without losing so much product. It’s kind of like when you wet your hands to mold clay.
