In my opinion, the chandelier doesn't belong in the nursery, a ceiling light would have sufficed. As for the crib, it would be better placed between the two smaller windows, never directly below them for obvious reasons. To address the light coming in from the sides of the shades, perhaps a discreet board could be added inside the frame, matching its color ss be discret. The frames above the shades could have a different motif, something aligned with a space theme, something the ties the shades and theme together. It could add to the valuer of the shades. The mirror above the changing table is out of place, it is too small and dated. Not everything old is attractive, and having a heavy object above a baby is not advisable. Consider adding a few baby items for now, as the room currently looks like an extension of another room. I can't wait to see your kitchen-it will surely be the crème de la crème of your home.

A good while back, I commented on one of the cottage videos that one day, if you had children in the future, you would be able to tell them that you renovated the cottage yourself. Soon, you will be able to tell your son that you did the same on his nursery.

The whole room looks very good, but i think that the rug is a bit lost on the brick floor. It's merging too much with it (imo). I'd have chosen something warm but with more contrast with the bricks, this rug's colors are just too similar with the floor I feel. But maybe you didn't want the rug to be too noticeable ?

How about a floor lamp by your chair & and no overhead light

I recommend a mirror at the change table. My babies loved to look at themselves and it was create for us to have conversations together while looking at each other.

I highly recommend a smart bulb in that chair side lamp. That way you can dim it easily. I like to use red light I’m the middle of the night so it doesn’t wake me or the baby up as much.

This room is perfect if you decide to move into this room. From my experience sleep training is so difficult (when baby is older) that baby might feel less stressed if he knows parents or mama are sleeping near by

We have a mirror above and baby loves to look at herself and make faces with us!

Cover the top and back side (between the wall) of that baby bureau with something easy to wipe. If you have a way to block any space between the wall and changing station that would be better cause the last thing either of you want is to have to move a heavy furniture piece to clean the wall and back of bureau. Also maybe something less nice above the changing station for the same reason. Baby’s have some range…

Since you plan on using the same curtain/ blinds throughout your house sounds like it would be a good investment to buy a extra panel of curtains like the ones in living room to use as needed throughout the house to finish off any window treatments you add. I’m sure you’re going to run into this same dilemma with other windows.
