I was watching, freezing, rewatching, and thinking: “WOW! They did such an INCREDIBLE job of EXACTLY nailing the 1980’s aesthetic!!” I was born 1977, so I have a feel for what that is. I had pictures in my mind of them studying footage and music from the 1980’s to make something that felt, looked, sounds like, and moved and shoots just like it would be done in the 1980’s. Only to find out: the movie was released in 1983. D’oh!!

You can tell this inspired fallout. There are speech, barter, science, and repair skill checks for characters, biomechanics exist, energy weapons and firearms coexist, and there are ghouls.
