Hello, Friends! There are some not discussed advantages with this HW. - The ctirad's construction is very sophisticated. Particularly it means that even if ALL Atari memory is damaged you can use RAM576 as it's FULL working replacement at once. Just Plug and Play. - The ability to buy CART+ECI pass-through connector ! FE I use it to connect IDE+2.0_HD to my RAM576XE so internal HD-SDX module has it's all needed RAM and more. SDX itself (with all drivers) uses 320k and XE-RAM stays fully untouched when "USE BANKED". Thus I can use all XE-compartible programs like CLSN Pascal or MAE Assembler etc. - The ability to hear COVOX music(demos) is very impressive too. GOD Bless Ctirad and all Atariens! zen

It's nice to have extra memory for the atari 130xe, but what can you do with it since there aren't any software/games available to take advantage of the extra memory? Unless you can play atari st games.

There are more and more new games that require 576 KB of ram, and some demos that require 1MB

does the card ignores (replaces) the 128kb in an atari 130xe or the module adds its own ram memory to the 128kb onboard the atari??

it ignores 64 built in ram in 130xe and adds it's own 128k to 512k (configurable)

No difference at all, the external Memory upgrade is connected to the system bus
